We visited Salcombe in October 2024, surprised to find there was only a few car parking spaces. Major of the parking spaces was taken up by a few boats. There were many cars driving around struggling to find parking. If the car parks is own by the council who is in their right mind allow a few boat taken up the majority of the parking spaces.

We always try and use this car park when having a day out in Salcombe and taking the ferry across to Mill Bay and walks to Gara rock. £6.50 all day.
However if you don’t have coins to pay you need to download the Ringo app (if you haven’t got this already wifi is not great so downloading it can be difficult).
Toilets nearby.
Coop just across road.

This car park is not really big enough for the amount of people that visit this lovely little Devon Town,it is on the left hand side of my photo overlooking the creek...when we got there it was jammed packed but we were so lucky to arrive at the right time as a car was leaving otherwise we would not have stood a chance of getting a space as there were many cars driving round and round with no such luck...Once parked though it is a lovely little place to look around...Well worth a visit...👍

Little tricky to get to but £6.50 all day was better value than the park and ride for 3 of us. Fair few spaces when we arrived and good location on one end of the town to explore and walk back. Toilets are always a bonus and they were free to use! Co-op next to the car park was very handy before you head back home. 😊

Salcombe's large long stay carpark (cars only), which appeared to be 80-90% full at whatever time of the day, during the second week of September '23. Clean public toilets opposite exit from the car park. Very convenient for Salcombe's pubs, cafes and shops. Charges on photo.

Convenient but be warned, if you use Ringo you still run the risk of getting a parking ticket Then you have to email the local council because there's never a number to call. The website to make a challenge didn't work properly either.

An absolute gem of the gift of people watching. Whilst I humbly arrived and departed courtesy of my legs, a fair few use the adjacent car park and revell in the guilt free pleasure of watch people who should know how to drive and even park their floating playthings.... But can't.

At the far end you can even watch people SUP and ..... Even better, launch aforementioned boats whilst desperately looking cool.
