Recently relocated to a three-storey Aladdin's cave just down from where it used to be. This store is a treasure trove for for yarn fans and crafters in the north west. A broad range of yarns, from local hand-dyed skeins of luxury alpaca, through the mid range with lots of surprising blends and textures, workhorse sock yarns, and right down to budget acrylics. Patterns, samples, a bright and friendly workshop space, a little cave full of knitting needles and notions, and a bargain basement. Lynda and her staff are so knowledgeable and friendly, this place really is a great resource.

I’ve been going to Crafty Corner for four years now and have always received the most amazing support and advice from Lynda and the team over the years.
From a complete beginner at crochet in 2018 to helping me source vintage patterns and specialist yarn for a commission for ITV last year, Lynda will make sure you leave with what you came in for (and usually more - there’s SO much lovely squashy yarn to feast your eyes upon!).
What isn’t advertised so much is the community work she and her team do - from providing space upstairs for crafters to come and learn a new skill or just knit/crochet together over a brew to gathering hundreds of homemade hats, scarves and gloves for local schools in the winter months.
There’s always a friendly welcome and chat even when they’re rushed off their feet up and down the stairs getting things for customers who can’t manage the steps, nothing is too much trouble.
I tend to visit for yarn related things but know there are many different crafts catered for including needle felting, sewing, haberdashery, etc. I watched a lot of YouTube tutorials in the early days but I’ve learnt a lot more from the team at Crafty Corner!

Over the moon that I have found somewhere close by to be able to purchase DMC threads from that are not over priced (like Hobbycraft and John Lewis) The lady in the shop was lovely and chatty and it was a lovely store. Will certainly be coming back now for all my cross stitching needs!
