We had the most wonderful week’s stay last summer! The house is perfectly set up with everything you need and more and is the most restful place for a holiday. We have 2 kids and a lab and there was lots of room for everyone. Our 2 young kids loved the children’s books that were there and it just really felt like a much loved home.

The house is very near the most wonderful beaches and St Merryn has an amazing bakery, coffee shop & fish & chip shop very close by. There’s also a lovely playground right next to the house and we’d really recommend a walk down to the Cornish Arms! A perfect stay and we can’t wait to be back this summer.

An absolute home from home. Have stayed at Cowries twice now and we are shorty returning for a third time. The home has everything you could possibly need and more! It’s cost and welcoming. The location is perfect, so close to so many lovely beaches. The communication with Bryony is spot on, she will respond to messages really swiftly. Would highly recommend at stay at Cowries if you ware wanting a holiday in the North Cornwall area.

First time at this excellent holiday home. Great location, fuss free booking, spacious and well thought out, everything you will need for a great week. Very clean, warm and comfortable. Very friendly people in the area and in Cornwall as a whole.The locality has many options for food and drinks and a cracking bakers for breakfast rolls, pasties and cakes.
Very Happy to give Cowries 5 stars and we hope to return soon.

Lovely stay at Cowries! Slept so well, it's so peaceful and the beds are really comfortable. Amazing location with a couple of amazing pubs, bakeries and shops on your doorstep and a quick drive to beautiful beaches. The owners are great and have made a wonderful home away from home. Looking forward to staying again!

The sign of an amazing holiday home is when you book your next visit before you've left the current one! Which is what we did. Stayed in May, booked for September.

This was our second stay at Cowries (May 2022) and we love it. Everything you could need is provided and it is such a modern, stylish and comfortable home.

The location is brilliant for some of the best bays in Cornwall on your doorstep - six out of the seven bays are dog friendly all year round, perfect!

Enclosed and secure garden for our dog and parking right outside is great.

Nothing is too much trouble for Bryony the owner, who is keen and happy to sort any queries and to help you have the best holiday.

Home from Home!!!
I have stayed in Padstow every winter for the past 8 years as I love it so much, so I was a little unsure to be staying in St Merryn this time but all I can say is WOW! Location location location!!! It’s perfect!!!
The house is totally awesome! It’s like staying in a 4 star hotel, only better! The fixtures and fittings are all hotel quality, same with the beds and sofas! St Merryn is beautiful, and so convenient for all the stunning bays close by, the highlight to all of this being that it’s dog friendly too so me and my pooch had a ball every day!!! I would highly recommend Cowries as a 5 star dog friendly home, that I will most certainly be staying at again!!! Thank you for my wonderful holiday @cowries we love you!!!!💜💜🙏🙏

Fantastic holiday home with everything you need for a perfect stay in Cornwall. The property has a very large American style fridge freezer, washing machine, dishwasher and everything you could need in the kitchen. Sky Q is provided in the living room along with Sky wifi (approx 30mbps for those interested). There is parking for 2 cars on the drive and a small kids playground just around the corner from the house which our kids loved. I would highly recommend a visit to the local bakery (Malcolm Barnecutt) just around the corner in the village. They do amazing gluten free Cornish pasties and lots of cakes, salads, etc. We have already booked again for next year!
