Couldn’t recommend this place enough! We did the pub ride which was exceptional, going through beautiful villages and hills where horses roam free. Shoutout to the staff (Eva and Pierce) who were incredibly friendly, fun and went above & beyond to look after us! The horses are fantastic - receptive and well looked after. Bucket list experience for us. Suitable to all abilities. Already planning the next trip!

Welcoming, friendly yard for all ages and abilities. My friend has been coming for years, this was my first year and I’ve been 3 times already, well worth our 6+ hour round trip!

I love that you get to ride top quality horses but with no compromise on safety and confidence. I’m a Novice rider and although I have lessons locally to me, JC’s has given me a real boost!

Hacks out are incredible here (the views!). If you’re a reasonably competent rider I would recommend paying the extra for 1.5 hours: you’ll get what feels like twice the ride. I have felt safe on every hack, the staff really know the horses and will look after you.

Last visit was in a group which was such brilliant fun. We stayed in the B&B. A listed building won’t be to everyone’s taste but I felt privileged to spend the night surrounded by such history. Some gorgeous antique pieces and creaky, olde worlde charm. Breakfast-well let’s just say the next day the horse looked like he didn’t remember me being that heavy yesterday!

Did two private 1.5 hour hacks here, visited from Indiana. Everyone was so nice and friendly, zero stuck upness that can be experienced at a barn. (horse people understand). Horses were so well taken care of and well mannered. A super awesome experience. Cannot wait to find time to get back.

The stable crew at this terrific family-run business was very friendly and efficient - there were even crew there volunteering on their day off. There's a required assessment beforehand which was an extra surcharge (£7.50 per or something) but because of that, they were able to comfortably challenge us based on our variety of skill levels. The horses are in top shape and were jolly companions on the ride. We loved our guides, Gus and Ava. The scenery is just beautiful. It was the best trail ride we've ever been on for all of those reasons.

We stayed at the B&B in the "family room" and it fit our family of four just perfectly. The house is pretty incredible, especially compared to places we see here in America. Kate's Breakfast was terrific.

One heads up: GPS led us astray (into the centre of the village) even with the postcode so prepare to call. Gus gave us helpful phone directions.

We couldn't have been happier with our adventure and stay.

Daughter just had first lesson, reception were helpful and clear with instructions in what to do in the beginning. All the horses seen were stunning ,staff were chatty and reassuring her actual lesson was fantastic thanks Kate and poppy daughters confidence has much improved and that's why we have booked again..

I’ve been visiting Jills riding establishment for nearly 8 years and cannot recommend them highly enough. They offer fantastic tuition on the most wonderful horses in the most beautiful setting. They offer lessons for a wide range on disciplines and the instructors are friendly and very encouraging - my riding has improved massively and confidence has grown so much since I’ve been riding there and I travel regularly from London to get my riding fix. They have amazing hacking on their doorstep and I have enjoyed many fun rides and xc course hires on their incredibly reliable well schooled horses who are a joy to ride. The yard staff are helpful and accommodating. If you’re thinking of booking do it! You won’t be disappointed and I recommend them to everyone I know. I will be a customer for life 😀

I LOVE IT HERE!!!!! 🐴
i only recently started riding here in january due to another riding school not working out. i love it so much here already and love how supportive and kind everyone is! even though ive had a few fails and falls its safe to say i have gotten so much confidence in my jumping and hacking! i definitely reccomend as all the staff are so helpful and kind and the horses are very very well looked after! ive made so much more progress in 7 months at carenzas then i have at any other riding school! i also have started volunteering and i have gained so much knowledge and i cannot explain in words how much i love coming here! its like one big family! casper is of course my favourite pony and corporal is my favourite horse but all of them are so professional and they are just the best! every person who works or helps on the yard is so professional and do so much for the stables and the horses too and it's such a lovely environment! generally just a 10/10 experience at carenzas and i couldnt reccomend it more!!! 😊🐴
