What a lovely English distillery and their whisky is fairly priced and the sweeter whiskies are really nice. The people that served us were polite and happy to help if you need it. The cafe looks nice and even the outdoor tables and chairs are kept clean and the surroundings of the distillery and cafe are beautiful and peaceful...At least there was when we were there.

What an absolutely wonderful time spent here ! Hattie does an amazing job guiding us all thru the tour and provides so much information. From the beginning of the tour to the end of tasting, she was amazing, and her personality is like we've never experienced! Absolutely love her ! I was super impressed that we were allowed to view so much of the making process up front instead of behind a glass wall. I am a huge, huge fan of all Costwolds Gin they produce. In fact, I've been able to try each and every one. Too difficult to say, which is a favorite as they all are incredible. So when I visit the UK, I bring home a mix of the smaller bottles that can be purchased at the end of the tasting. Also, I must comment how impressed I was that they provide a care package of samples to your designated driver. Who does this? Most tasting couldn't care less if one walks out and gets behind the wheel under the influence! Great job, Cotswolds! Much RESPECT!! Thank you, Hattie & Cotswolds for such an enjoyable day ! Definitely will be back during my next visit!!

Fantastic tour and tasting - the guide was very knowledgable and friendly and the gin and whiskey tastings were out of this world! This is well worth the trip out to the countryside and wished we had longer there to enjoy the gift shop and cafe. Beautiful buildings and you can tell they do everything with pride. Love that we were able to try special edition gins, the Cotswolds Wildflower Gin #1 is PHENOMINAL!!

My visit to Cotswolds Distillery this past Thursday was nothing short of delightful, thanks in large part to our exceptional host, Susie. Brimming with energy and a contagious zest for her craft, she guided us through the tour with a perfect blend of wit and wisdom. Her comedic flair brought laughter to the group, while her deep knowledge of the distillery’s artistry left us all captivated and well-informed. Susie’s warm, welcoming manner effortlessly put everyone at ease, making the experience feel both personal and inclusive.

A pleasant surprise was the complimentary charging station for my electric car—a thoughtful touch that enhanced the visit. I’d gently encourage the distillery to consider adding more charging points, as this small gesture could elevate the experience for future guests.

From start to finish, the tour was a joy, and I find myself already looking forward to returning in the summer to soak in more of the Cotswolds charm—and, of course, Susie’s sparkling hospitality. Highly recommended!

A fabulous place to visit. Highly recommend! The place is welcoming and the staff is friendly. Everything is well designed, groups of very manageable size, cozy indoor atmosphere with a fireplace, boutique, knowledgeable tour guide (family atmosphere!) and the cherry on the top — the tasting room! High quality whisky and gin.

An Unforgettable Day Out at Cotswolds Distillery!

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Cotswolds Distillery on Sunday 4th May 2025, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable days out I’ve had in a long time. Our tour guide, Kevin Merrit, was a standout—an American with a passion for whisky and gin that’s truly infectious. His depth of knowledge was incredible, and he made the whole tour feel fun, relaxed, and endlessly interesting.

We learned so much—not just about how their whisky and gin are made, but how even the smallest additions (a drop of water, a slice of lemon, a splash of tonic) can completely transform the flavour profile. It was hands-on, informative, and full of opportunities to taste the different spirits along the way. Let’s just say we left the tasting room a little merrier than we went in!

After the tour, we stayed for lunch and enjoyed some of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, paired with delicious cocktails that were perfect for the sunny afternoon. We spent hours soaking up the atmosphere, sipping drinks, and enjoying the stunning countryside setting.

I also loved how the equipment and stills have names with American meanings—like “Dolly”—a brilliant nod to the distillery’s roots, especially since the founder came from the US. It’s little touches like that which make the experience feel personal and memorable.

My partner and I are always on the lookout for unique days out, and this one ticked all the boxes. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the other activities on offer. If you haven’t visited yet, make this your next stop—you won’t regret it!
