Saul Junction, a perennial favourite of ours. I've cycled through here, stopped for a cuppa, ambled with elderly parents and watched the boats and swans, eaten cake and taken lots of photos. It's great to double up with a wander round Frampton on Severn too, or head over to Epney or Arlingham to look at the river, or watch the Severn Bore. Slimbridge is just down the road and the Purton Hulks make for a good towpath cycle ride from here.

Great little visitor centre for the Cotswold Canal Trust, with books, maps and interesting info on the canal. Friendly and helpful staff. Get a takeaway coffee, cake or ice cream and sit next to the canal. A quieter alternative to the much busier main cafe.

Very welcoming & friendly. Immediately offered tea and coffee whilst looking at all the interesting information on the area and inspiring project to reopen to Stroud and ultimately back to the Thames giving a safer and scenic route for widebeam boats.
