Although there are staff available to answer questions, this is mainly a shop with only one section of leaflets of local attractions. As I always seek out the Tourist Information Centres wherever I go, for ideas for my current visit and future ones, I thought there was less takeaway information available than seen elsewhere. There is a toilet but there is a charge for this.

The incredible edibles (community gardening group) meet outside here at 6pm each Thursday from spring to autumn. They are the people that tend all the veg beds in the area.

Well located in the town and not far from the castle. Staff in the information centre are friendly and helpful.

They charge for the bathroom (super welcoming from a tourist information centre) but don’t take card. Entrance to the bathrooms was dimly lit and dirty. Don’t bother going unless you have exact change.

WATCH OUT……Conwy is a really lovely place, but you need a 50p piece to use the toilet…..who uses cash much these days….most towns do t even have a bank.
Why not at least put a card reader in place. I was behind some Americans who were about to go on a long coach trip, and they couldn’t even go to the toilet before the trip. Ridiculous. This is a very simple problem to solve, and shame on Conwy for not solving it.
There is a free toilet but it’s at the bottom of the hill, so anybody elderly, or in a rush would not be able to use this one (and it was quite disgusting anyway)
Readily available toilets should be a basic human right…This was also the case in other tourist places we visited during our time here. Come on Wales, sort this out.

They only open at 10 a.m., not 9.30. Other than that, the woman I spoke with was patient and knew the answers to my questions.

The multi-lingual Welsh-speaking lady working here yesterday (Wednesday) who had come from a different branch was so very helpful. Not only did she help me find the bookshop in Conwy I wanted, for example, but she also really made my day by letting me speak to her in my basic Welsh for a short while (as the TIC was quiet at the time). She was exceptionally kind and thoughtful. My short stay in Wales was really good, thanks to this lady and a couple of other people who were so thoughtful and kind.
Later in the day I bought a small item from the TIC, as I was so grateful for her help. The TIC was very busy then and I noticed that she dealt with people's queries and comments in a very professional, empathetic way.
Oh, and I also want to thank Tom who was exceptionally helpful answering my email enquiry before my visit to the area.

Lots of information. Helpful staff and now has a Post Office - banking, change for car park, stamps, etc.
