I would give the other two stars if the entry fee was lower than it is, which is £10.50 each for two 70 yr olds.
Very few animals no real interaction or someone to guide you around the house.
A good cause but definitely needs something to occupy all who arrive.

Parking set away from the farm but a pleasant off road walk, to gain access.
The parish council also needs to ensure signage is free from overgrown hedges/trees as car park not easy to find, due to signage being covered.

The talk given to us in the sitting room was excellent and what we expected, for the monies charged. But unfortunately that was it downstairs. Up stairs had a couple of recordings. The one in the office was excellent.
Maybe an old fashion maid calling system in the rooms to pull , push to set off a recorded talk or a type of hand held radio to carry, to hear the history.. Or activities to participate in.
The café was ok and reasonably priced. A good mug of tea!
Can’t say we didn’t enjoy it as we are both enthusiastic about keeping history alive. We also realise the cost of upkeep is difficult. But sometimes, making it more affordable or more enticing, could encourage more paying visitors..Speculating to accumulate.
We wish you all well, hoping for more success for the future

Superb little farm Manor House tucked away. Visited here with my mum as we were camping near by and had heard of the farm through the Downton Abbey connection. The grounds are a good size and easily adaptable for a short stroll around the kitchen garden or can be made longer to cover the orchards and meadows. There are chickens and geese freely roaming as well as sheep and goats in the paddocks. The house itself is amazing and every room had the wow factor. This is certainly one of the best dressed homes we have visited. The reception staff were friendly and there’s a nice little shop. There were sadly no staff in the house which meant we couldn’t ask questions, however plenty of informative signage.

Free parking as well!

Nice little farm for kids to experience farm life. The small shop has lovely cotswold products. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Cafe does good quality food. Good parking nearby for disabled. Check website for instructions for public parking. Can be a little tricky.

Discovered this little gem while visiting witney. Very interesting place and wasn't aware of the Downton Abbey connection, gardens were lovely. Enjoyed watching the assorted poultry roaming around sadly no pigs to admire. Well worth extending your ticket to a season ticket if you live within the locality

This place is a hidden gem!
The place is great if you like small scale attractions. It's not Blenheim Palace and nor does it cost as much as Blenheim.

The house is fascinating and tbe gardens are just lovely. It's great to see ducks and chickens roaming around.

Definitely worth a visit. Admission fee with gift aid is £9.90 for adults.

Relaxing summer leisure activity. Good mix of animals and well maintained historical buildings. A play area for children is also included. We visited on a weekend and it was quiet and peaceful, allowing for ample exploration of the area and a walk beside a river. We also had a chance to get quite close with some of the farm animals and ask the employees questions about them.
