Called in after a walk along the canal. Friendly and welcoming staff. Didn’t have to wait long for our meals to arrive, which were lovely. We had the beef madras and cod & chips. Good value for money. Don’t forget to register your car reg number at the bar to avoid parking fees.

Great pub, never been here before yet I'm in this area often, will make it a point of call next time. We stopped off for a light lunch and we were not disappointed. Opted for chilli chicken panini, tuna crunch panini (both with crisps) and a bowl of chips. Glass of coke and soda water and lime all for £19.05 very good value. Other meals looked impressive, I will be back whilst on a motorcycle ride to stop off for lunch soon.

The setting is lovely and the young waitress that brought our food was lovely too. Good atmosphere. My husbands steak was the best he’d had in a while. My lasagne was good too. A large portion with a good size garlic bread. One recommendation would be is to serve 1/2 the amount of lasagne, add a little salad to the plate with chips and garlic bread. Would have looked more appealing. Haven’t been here for about 20 years but would definitely come again!
