I recently undertook a Hill and Moorland Leader course with Dorothy and Margaret. The course ran from Thu evening over three full days and one evening session; approximately 30 hours of focused training indoors and outdoors for £195. This is extremely good value for money. In addition the course content was varied and interesting with the right mix of classroom based material and hands-on, outside practice. I consider myself an experienced hill walker and I learned a huge amount. M & D have a vast experience of this topic and clearly enjoy delivering it in an engaging manner and with a good sense of humour too. Highly recommend C-N-Do and this course.

June 24- July 2, 2016 my husband and I were part of the "Walking and Music Tour in the Scottish Highlands" led and organized by musician Ed Pearlman and Dorothy from C-N-Do. The tour far exceeded our expectations! It was everything and more than the description of the tour had been.

Ed never failed to amaze us with the exceptionally talented Scottish music artists he invited to spend an evening with us. First for dinner to get to know them personally and then to hear them sing or play afterwards. The Scottish and Gaelic music was beautiful and Ed is an amazing Scottish fiddler too. The grand finale was meeting Fiona Ritchie and learning about the Scottish/Irish Appalachian movement of music which migrated across the ocean.

Dorothy and Ed put the music in an historical perspective as we visited key battle sites and castles that are reflected in the Scottish songs, which Ed had sent us in advance of the tour. We even visited a bagpipe craftsman/musician who spent quite a bit of time showing us all the work that goes into his craft and answering our many questions.

I was so thankful for Dorothy's vast knowledge about Scotland and knowing all the roads we needed to take. It was beautiful driving along in the van listening to CD's of the exceptionally fine musicians we'd heard the night before. Stopping and taking walks along the way to the ocean shore or the top of a hill overlooking the glen and lochs.

Dorothy always chose fabulous hotels and b and b's for us to stay and wonderful restaurants for dinner. She was a wealth of knowledge in a low key fashion, always calm and patient. Ed and Dorothy are incredibly generous people, whose love of Scotland's countryside, music, people and remarkable history they enthusiastically shared with us. I feel very fortunate to have had this experience and look forward to doing it again sometime.
