Second experience with Club Med, at this time in Mexico. If I can attach any pictures you all we love to go there:) so much activities of professional staff. Even got a badge for trapecio, couldn’t ever thought I will ever try it.
Entertainment, activities for all day like snorkelling, kayaking, sailing, arching and many more what never seen in any other resorts.
Food, mmm. From standard breakfast from always fresh ingredients and also choice from the chef.
Staff will always leave a smile on your face:)
Couldn’t imagine my holiday as interesting and enjoyable with any other all inclusive holidays. In 8 days we tried to find the spot for lazy beach time but didn't want to miss anything and one more to positive - we had best beach from all CancunšŸ
At the end we had problem with flight. Didn't boarded on the plan.
Club Med staff supported us and provided us a room until next flight.
I didn't say anything about chilling crocodile:) 5šŸ’« for Club Med

I had a really fantastic time with club med. All the staffs are super friendly and food is amazing.

My daughter also had a good time with Aida( a Spanish girl) in Mini Club. I would like to say I will definitely recommend all my friends come here to enjoy a perfect ski holiday.

A wonderful 10 days! Beautiful resort with amazing staff. Really excellent food. Particular mention to Melanie and Jader for brilliant workouts and the staff at INDIGO (Angela and co!) for wonderful service. Thank you to Jaques and Pierre in kids club 4/5 and Mafalda and Rony in 6/7. We went on a brilliant boat trip to snorkel - thank you!

What an appalling Rewards program. Not only do the points awarded for a holiday expire after 3 years, the points when booking a new holiday don’t appear until after the holiday is taken. Therefore despite having a huge total of points, these are effectively ignored for those loyal customers. Really disappointing. No benefit being a returning customer.

Terrible customer support. Jennifer was the most unhelpful support representative I spoke to. She would not escalate my request to her supervisor either. Great hotels but terrible support. Certainly not going ahead with my booking with Club Med.

I was not intending to write a public review, however following my emails being ignored by the customer service representative, I have decided to put this public as I have seen that there are responses here.

I booked a Club Med holiday based on the ā€œAll inclusiveā€ concept and once paid I was not expecting any further charges. I decided on this occasion to book all accommodation, flights and transfers through Club Med for ease and knowing that for any unforeseen circumstances there would be assistance.

A few weeks following booking and payment, I was informed that my flight times had changed from the flight initially arriving at 7pm to now arriving at 4am. Travelling with a small child we purposely chose a daytime flight arriving at a reasonable hour so this change was unwelcome. My expectation was that once I had informed Club Med (as our travel agent) of this unreasonable change that we would be provided with alternative flights to travel on and be rebooked. Instead, I had a call with the customer service operator who informed me that I was responsible for searching the internet for alternative flights and submitting this to Club Med – mentioning that not all airlines could be booked, but not being provided with any details of who I should be searching for. Unfortunately, the call become unnecessarily tense as the operator became very frustrated by questions that I asked, and after a second call which again became unnecessarily tense I decided to only communicate via email. And, of course, after spending time searching replacement flights, the flight that I had spent time finding, I was informed that it was not possible to be booked through Club Med….I was therefore required to have my flights that I booked through Club Med cancelled and refunded (although the refunded amount reduced from what I was initially communicated) and to rebook flights ourselves. Club Med then made the decision to cancel my airport transfer and quoted me more than Ā£250 for this to be reinstated. The cost of my holiday has now increased which is ironic as the website states ā€œPRICE GUARANTEED when you book your package. Don’t have any unexpected surprises when booking with Club Medā€.

In short, I am now spending more money on the holiday and the customer support has fallen well below what I was hoping for. The 1-star rating is for the booking process and not the resort which we are yet to stay at, but expectation levels are low.

Comment following Club Med response: Not a surprise that the company decides to accept no responsibility. I didn't mention in my above review but worth noting that they do not supply infant car seats and seemed to be a surprise when I requested this. However when I enquired with a 3rd party taxi for a return airport transfer (with car seat) it was £200 cheaper than Club Med charge whilst also being a private taxi as opposed to a coach/mini bus!!

I was hoping that the holiday would make up for the poor booking experience but it really did not. For a company that prides itself on being family friendly it really was not for us.

Clearly the employees at Club med UK lack professionalism and people skills. I am extremely disappointed and not pleased with the customer service I received. I felt like I have been scammed and lied to.

I wanted to change my booking that’s in two months to a different date and so I gave the club med office a call. The specific staff named Aylish (might be spelt wrong, but she said there’s only one Aylish working there), answered and told me that it’ll be an extra Ā£130 to change the date for the stay, and the money is purely for changing the flight. So I accepted and told her that I would like to pay immediately, which she then replied that she’ll need to contact the flight team at club med to confirm and call me back. I didn’t understand what’s the reason why she needed to further confirm anything given that she already had the information there. But anyways, she called half an hour later, and told me that I will have to pay Ā£310 now to change it. I asked her to explain why and if I can change it to another flight, and she just replied that it’s the variability of flight fees, and she was being pushy and saying that it’ll be the same or even more expensive if I change it to another flight and we should proceed. Then, she left again to confirm with her flight team, and called me back and told me that I need to pay immediately. I asked her for a complete breakdown of the cost of the flight, as I literally found the same flights from the airline’s website that are at around Ā£100 cheaper than what she quoted, and that’s to buy a new set of tickets separately instead of rebooking. And suddenly her tone became aggressive and simply said ā€œno, you need to pay now or your flight will be cancelledā€ in a very rude and even arrogant tone. I don’t know about you but the way she acted and talked really sounded like she’s trying to scam me. And after a bit more of talking, she mentioned that there are ā€œother costsā€ within this Ā£310 but refused to explain. But she literally said that this cost is purely for changing the flights? And when I asked to speak to her manager, she told me that her manager has left the office and will contact me via phone or email depending on ā€œhow busyā€ she is, which really sounded like ā€œoh you can’t do anything about it even if I don’t inform my managerā€. I really don’t understand how a person working in a relatively luxurious travel agency’s customer’s service department can be so unprofessional and rude to their customers. Was there no training on how they should talk to their customers?
