Really good little museum which was a surprise! Lots of interactive things for kids, a cool display to find out how many of you (based on weight) the bridge could hold (about 1500 of me which seems an awful lot), lots of information about Brunel and the design, with illustrations and photos, and a cute little shop. Not busy and easy to move around, with loos too.

It's a lovely little museum which helps tell the story of the bridge. Some interactive displays and a small shop that offers guide books and items featuring the bridge. It's only a short walk from the bridge and free to visit so worth it if you are on the bridge.

The Clifton Suspension Bridge Museum is a fantastic place to learn about the history and engineering behind this iconic bridge. I can’t begin to express how wonderful my tour was today. I took my mum for her birthday and sadly, traffic was against us - leading to us being a whopping half an hour late! Of course, our tour group had left. The receptionist did everything possible to ensure we’d still have a chance on the (sadly fully booked) later tour, and the whole team did everything they could to try and make it possible for us to attend. Thankfully, we managed to go on a later tour due to hard work from everyone working here, and had a beyond wonderful time. My mum is the one interested in the bridge, but I found myself facilitated and in awe of the amazing history and views of the vaults! Would give 6/5 if I could for this place and the staff, next level custom service. Our tour guide, Jed, was also fantastic and we learn a lot and had a good laugh. So worth it and such a fantastic day out! Thank you! A MUST DO experience!

We attended this place in July 2022. We were greeted nicely by two women, one of whom was a volunteer.

The information within The Centre was ideal and not too overwhelming. I liked the fact that there were stories on the wall, stating how The Suspension Bridge featured in people's lives. Furthermore, there was information which detailed the tolls which were once charged. There is also a window which gives one a nice view of The Bridge.

Another room is located upstairs which is designed with children in mind and it offers more tactile activities. On the ground floor, there is an informative machine which showcases how many items of various things that The Bridge is capable of holding.

It is prudent to go early because it often becomes quite busy on weekends.

I recommend The Clifton Suspension Bridge Visitor Centre because the members of staff are nice and informative.

I was lucky enough to get to book the two hour hard hat tour for today (26th Sept).

The first hour was spent with Gordon detailing the history of the bridge - and the various designs submitted. He is a very knowledgeable chap - and the first hour flew by.

The second hour was with Natalie and Gordon, and I l thought I'd be a little iffy with the walk down to the Vaults entrance, but it was fine. Again, Gordon was great.

If you get a chance, and it's only the last Thursday of the month and space for approx 15 people, go for it. It's absolutely worth it!
