Really nice walk to the end. Make sure you look around as each plank has name plaques on them as do the seats. Displays of plants/flowers are also on display. Great views up and down the coast. £5 gets you a whole year's entry.

Just across the road there is an old Victorian drinking fountain.

Great place to have a stroll to the end of the pier. Read the history of the pier, look back at the Clevedon shoreline, and have a bite to eat in the Glass Box café on the Pier. The food was reasonably priced and was presented very well. Buy a ticket to walk the Pier, and you never pay again for a whole year!

We visited this beautiful picturesque pier in a very quaint coastal town in England. Went to this pier because One direction filmed a video here. But we also ate lunch the glass box restaurant which was lovely. All the staff were very friendly. The pier was beautiful.

I love this elegant, stylish structure. It is just a pier. Not an amusement arcade, not a theatre, not a candy floss and do-nut stall in sight. Just perfect for a peaceful stroll out and take in the views. Read some of the history of the pier and the town.
Why only 3 stars? I am loathe to give this 5 stars as a headline. This usually attracts more people and detracts from the experience of such a lovely place.

If you ever find yourself in North Somerset and fancy a mix of stunning views, history, and a bit of pop culture, Clevedon Pier is a must see. It’s honestly one of those places that sneaks up on you with how charming it is.

First off, the history is really cool. The pier originally opened way back in 1869 and was used as a landing point for paddle steamers that brought tourists over from South Wales. So it’s been a seaside hotspot for literal generations. You really get a sense of how important it was to the community and how much effort has gone into preserving it. There’s even a little museum area at the entrance with info about the original Elton family, who were closely tied to the pier’s early days. It adds a nice personal touch knowing this place wasn’t just a structure — it was a part of someone’s life and legacy.

Now for the pop culture bonus. If you're a One Direction fan, you’ll probably recognize it straight away. The “You & I” music video was filmed right here and you can totally see why. The views across the Bristol Channel are stunning, especially at sunset. It’s got that moody, cinematic vibe without even trying. Perfect for a slow stroll and some photos, whether you’re into 1D or just into cool spots.

It costs £5 to get in, but here’s the nice bit — if you keep your receipt, you can come back as many times as you like for the rest of the year without paying again. So it’s basically a season pass in disguise, which is a lovely touch.

Another really touching detail is the memorial plaques on the benches along the pier. Each one is dedicated to someone who has passed away, and reading through them gives the place an even more personal and emotional feel. It’s like the pier holds little pieces of people’s stories. Really lovely and respectful.

There’s a sweet little gift shop at the entrance too. Not just the usual seaside tat either. They’ve got proper local crafts, cute souvenirs, and even some nice books and cards. It feels thoughtful and well curated, not just touristy. You can tell the Heritage Trust really cares about keeping the place special and supporting local artists too.

All in all, Clevedon Pier has this peaceful, nostalgic feel to it. It’s not flashy or over the top, but that’s part of the charm. It’s like stepping into a different pace of life for a bit. Whether you’re into history, nice views, a bit of 1D fan nostalgia, or just a good cup of tea by the sea, it’s totally worth a visit.

Parking is sparse, so grab the first place you can, pier is £5 to enter but the ticket is valid all year, it also has some really nice souvenirs , there is a little cafe at the beginning of the pier which has food and drink and the lower floor has a porthole window where you can see under the pier , grade 1 listed beautiful and quintessential

An old fashioned pier great atmosphere to just walk along it. There's a small but very good museum at the start and a small cafe at the end where you can sit in or out and sea gaze.
There's fishing from the pier as well.
Staff all volunteers very friendly and knowledgeable seems they can't do enough to help give a great experience
