Great little place, I was not expecting to see so much underground, very interesting. My daughter loved it too as she was pretending to play Minecraft lol. Great cafe , quiet surroundings. Kids play area could be better but amazing place for a family trip.

A fascinating walk down through the caves. A self guided,easily followed track with interesting facts along the way. Sturdy footwear and a jacket is recommended as it's quite cool 100ft under ground.

Fantastic caves. The self guided tour is fantastic and very informative. The children liked counting all the gems and watching the projections which were really clever. We visited in the summer holidays and it was surprisingly quiet. The little cafe was also good value with plenty of seating.

Went on the easter weekend. Carpark was busy but the mine didn't reflect this.
A little pricey but nothing horrendous.
You need to be steady on your feet as the terrain is uneven with some low roofs and narrow passages.
The car park is built on sloping ground and requires a steady foot to navigate safely.

A great afternoon out with loads of really interesting history! My two young girls loved it, lots of little additions to keep them interested throughout. We visited on a wet Friday in half-term so didn't explore much outside the caves but there's a nicely little play area for when it is dry. Well worth the money! The café also onsite is brilliant but does get busy. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

Went for the normal self guided tour around the caves which goes to about 100ft deep. Nicely lit to see walking around with lots of information posted everywhere. Can be steep at parts. They do a semi-deep and deep dive tours as well where you can venture further in the caves (needs to be prebooked)

What a great place, I was trying to visit for a while now , and finally today, due to the weather wasne very good in the morning, it was a great place to visit on rainy days. Place is self guided which we liked we could spend as much time we want to. It's my much bigger then we was expecting, the person who set up the lights done amazing job . The stuff at the ticket office and gift shop super nice , coffee shop absolutely great decor was amazing we had fresh prepared sandwiches very tasty but definitely must try is hot caramel apple with cinnamon sprinkle have no idea what it was juice or tea but it was absolutely delicious 😋

Went yesterday with 6 year old grandson to see The Very Hungry Polar Bear. It was amazing! The amount of time and effort that had gone into this display was incredible. The caves were filled with beautifully decorated trees and lovely decorations as you followed the story around the caves.
Will definitely be back next year!
