I called the phone number listed on the website (and in the brochure) with a simple but important query about their hotel offering in Liguria, Italy, as there was a puzzling discrepancy between the brochure and the website. The phone number and menu options seemed to be designed exclusively for travel agents, not retail clients. Even so, I was kept waiting for 20 minutes. Eventually I gave up.

Although I have used Classic several times in the past, this sort of attitude to customer service is simply unacceptable, and I am left wondering what, if any, support I would receive if I encountered an issue at my destination (eg the private transfer car not turning up) if they don't have anyone manning their 'phones. I will take my business elsewhere this time around but, in the meantime, I hope that Classic will clarify if the telephone number printed on their marketing material - 0800 008 7288 - is in fact a number prospective customers can use. And if this is the case why are they kept waiting for 20 minutes during the working day?

Be careful having anything to do with this company. Was sold an “exclusive” and very expensive holiday at a “luxury” “5 star” hotel. It was definitely neither, hotel advised they do fixed price for the year which was half the amount we paid so CC took a hefty margin. Hotel had many issues, the worst were the regular boat trips arriving on “private” beach full of drunk Australians. Rang Classic Collection, no response to voicemails. Complained afterwards to give the chance to resolve and they simply denied all of our complaints even with photos and videos. They mis-represent holidays and have awful customer services. Avoid at all costs.

Website review, beautiful options but the pricing system £ ££ £££ is a bit vague, every option had £ meaning the price started below £1500 but you have to phone them for any further information and add ons, too much faffing for my liking, I would like to be able to tailor our holiday and see everything on line or in a brochure. Sorry CC I was then drawn to another leading luxury operator to finalise my holiday choice. I will keep checking your website though just in case it changes because you have some really great destinations and travel business partners.

The service we received from Classic Collection was excellent. Unfortunately the same can't be said about the hotel. The hotel was definitely not 4 star and I will be contacting Classic Collection about it. We had been to the hotel 8 years ago had a wonderful time, but this time it was very tired and not the peaceful, tranquil oasis we were expecting.

We had a wonderful week in Venice and Florence, the hotels were beautiful and the connections were smooth and very prompt. A special thanks to Julie Regan who collected us at Venice airport and escorted us by water taxi to our hotel. Julie spent an hour with us giving lots of very helpful tips and advice and really added to our experience.

We booked to go to zante via hays travel and classic holidays provided the accommodation via them. We had the worst all inclusive holiday. We ended up eating out every day for an 11 nights stay which we hadn’t budgeted for. There was so many issues that I tried to resolve while in resort to just be passed from pillar to post by hays and classic collections. This was our first family holiday in 4 years due to covid and also the worst for us all. I had photos and videos for evidence of all the problems to name only a few, the safety in the room, room situated no view, 100’s of stairs to get to restaurants, no entertainment as stated, no food labelled , dirty pools, wasps swarming self serve drinks machine the list goes on. Truly disappointing wouldn’t even give a star to this hotel or company for their poor customer service and not trying to compensate us for all the extra cost or poor quality holiday.

We booked a family holiday in Crete with Classic Collection, assuming that they would be offering only high quality accommodation. The hotel that we booked was the Hotel Caramel. Whilst I cannot fault the hotel overall, and would definitely return, we were very disappointed to find that our garden view suite has in fact a view dominated by the hotel car park and the main road behind. If we had been lead to expect this at the outset we would probably have been OK with it as the hotel is so nice. But when you come expecting a garden view it is not so good.

I noted my disappointment to the company on our first day and did receive a call from the local rep. However, it seems that there was nothing they could do as we were in the correct room. We are currently still in Crete and there is a possibility that another room will come up. We will have to pay extra for that I believe, so we will see.

Anyway, my point here is that Classic Collection are just another travel agent. They will offer some good accommodation and some not so good accommodation. They will not have vetted every room in every hotel. Probably you will get what you expect but there is a chance that you won't.

Booked a very expensive holiday at 7 pines and left after 2 days. Asked agent to organise another hotel and was told I had to book online myself.
Totally left dangling by the customer service and when I enquired regarding a contribution refund I was told no!
Fist time using Classic collection and the last!

All good service until you need them to look after your complaints
