Nice open top bus tour round the fabulous historic Chester City Center. Lasts about 1 hour non stop the full tour. You can hop on and off about 6 stops.

You can also opt for a 30 minutes river cruise which I did separately but you can save £1 if you book both together. Helps if the weather is nice which fortunately was when I did the tour.

Online recorded commentary describes the city’s history in including the Roman times. So no headphones needed.

If your in Chester and have a spare hour then this definitely gets my top recommendation. At the time of this review the cost was £12.50, which I think is good value as it lasts for a full 24 hours.

I had never been to Chester before and this tour hit all the major spots. A ticket will get you 24hours on and off, so it's easy to plan getting to stop around town and not be hurried to find transport.

Pro tip: keep yesterday's ticket for another tour in another city or town, you'll get a discount!

Absolute brilliant, first time going on the sightseeing bus lived in Chester all my life but never actually used it before and the kids wanted to go on it, reasonably priced and love that you can hop on n off all day. Today we have a fab time driver was lovely, it was nice seeing all the buildings and history of the city from a open top bus view, and learning lots from the ladys voice on the speaker my kids had a great time and the driver even let them sit in his seat before we got off! Thank you for a wonderful trip. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back in the future 👍🏻💥

For anyone looking to tour the City of Chester this is a definite must. The double decker bus is well maintained and the guide/driver is very helpful.

Great bus tour, very informative, we were advised by the driver there was a diversion due to road works but we wouldn't miss anything. Really enjoyed the tour and would recommended to all visiting Chester.

Stagecoach/City sightseeing chester , I've been to chester many time I decided to take the kids on the sightseeing tour we got on at the Groves at the River Dee , the driver sean Lawrence was extremely knowledgeable polite he explained that we could get off at any of the 12 stops around the tour and get back on at the stops for the next 24 hours and the buses are only 30 mins apart so you will always have a bus when ever you need one ,the tour last an hour and you will find out so much about the city of chester all the Stagecoach sightseeing drivers are so lovely knowledgeable polite Kris Gorrell, Jack Matthews , Joe Godding, Frazer Herald & Sean Lawrence I highly recommend you go on this sightseeing tour the buses are outstanding clean all stagecoach buses are , you can purchase a tour and Cruise combo ticket so you can jump off the tour bus at the Groves have half an hours City Cruise then jump back on to the tour bus with the friendly tour drivers.

Driver on tour 30August2024 15h30 - did not even answer our "hello", gave us the look while giving us our tickets. We were very polite, speak English fluently. A far cry from the very friendly people and staff that we met in Liverpool and Manchester. The minimum is to answer "hello" when someone says "hi".

Very interesting bus tour with good commentary. You are given a free map, which is very useful. The only criticism I have is that the stops are not always easy to find and if you are not in the right place, the bus does not stop! Overall, well worth doing.
