Chester Bus Interchange its structure looks good but there are some disadvantages, these are:
- the bus stop is closed on both sides and on top, but between it there is a space that is not glazed, and when it rains and there is wind and you are sitting on a bench, this does not save everything that is wet.
- toilets are open for limited hours: from 8.30 to 5.30. But buses run early in the morning and in the evening. I think this creates problems for passengers.
- the bus stop is dirty
Most buses arrive relatively on time.
The staff is always ready to help.
Bus schedules are clearly displayed on digital boards.

One of the scruffiest park and rides we've done nationwide. There were no toilets either but at the end of the journey the bus garage had some. Chester is beautiful and we got there ok so it did its job. The buses run regularly and the driver was very pleasant.

Its structure appears good. However, I faced the below 3 problems which are generic so giving this kind of rating for it.

1. The bus stop is open both the sides i.e. towards road and where bus comes to pick. No facility for a person to face cold wind if he has to spend some time on this bus station.

2. The toilets are open for limited hours of 8.30-5.30. But there are buses at early morning and night. This less duration of toilet opening times is troublesome for the passengers.

3. I used this stop before 8am and now at 9pm. Both the times, I could not find a single helper or person to ask that if my bus as per the ticket is not shown on the screen even just 10min prior to its scheduled departure, then how to be sure it will come. It's quite unsafe also, if somebody has to wait late night and there is no staff member for query, help or any concern.

First time I’ve been shocked by how a disability was ignorantly dismissed due to a lady on duty wanting to close the toilets some few minutes early.
Not every disability is visible and this after event upset the gentleman I support into talking about how this member of staff spoke to him without giving him time to process what he should do about it. Very dismissive and thoughtless staff. Shame on you

Timetables and digital displays were rather confusing to understand as they didn't seem to correlate with each other and our bus home was delayed. It was useful though that Chester Bus Station had a shop and public conveniences.
