Paid up front for the bike hire for one day. No problem there, this was a week before.
On the day I arrived, I wasn't sent a code, which was promised to retrieve the bike. It wasn't for the shop owner, who had a different phone number to contact the company. I would have been totally stuck with no bike, causing major problems for friends who had organised the trip..
Points of real concern for the company:
1) The shop at station owner had to ring Compass on another number to contact the owners. This number isn't public
2) Battery on the e-bike battery reduced to about 10% halfway on my ride. Only 3/4 charged on pickup
3) No instructions for the e-bike to get it going.
4) No 24 hr phone answering on business web page.
On the better side, did obtain 1/2 of my payment back.
This is the second time a similar thing has happened to me on this type of upright bike which is only good for riding flat surfaces. Any effort causes quick depletion of power.

Just brilliant!
Staff were all super helpful from the booking to picking up the bikes and dropping them off.
We rented two bikes for 6 days without any issues.
Great price!
Told kit was included and already packed into one of the bike bags we added on.

Rented a bike to explore the cotswolds with. Was given a code and locker in advance, but when I arrived the code didn't work. I frantically emailed and called all contact info I could fine to no avail (late morning on a Monday) before giving up and pivoting my plans. Nobody reached back out to me until a full 7 days afterward, admitting to the error. Hopefully a fluke but figured I'd share in case it saves someone a headache

I took my full carbon Giant road bike in to be fixed, as the bottom bracket needed replacing. Keith was absolutely first class and fixed my bike, along with giving the bike a thorough check for me. I was so impressed I took my wife bike in for a full service, and the bike rides better than when we first bought it.
I would highly recommend the bicycle hub. The quality of service is 10/10 and they know exactly what they are doing.

Fantastic job from Keith. I was touring in the area when I broke a few spokes in the rear wheel and needed them fixed before continuing. Phoned a few bike shops, all of whom told me they had a 2 week wait and wouldn't be able to fit me in. However, Keith was very happy to fit me in that afternoon at the Bicycle Hub. They didn't have the same spokes in the shop, but a few hours and a bit of spoke handiwork later I was on my way with a solid rear wheel that has held up 600km on a fully loaded bike in the past week. Keith stayed late to get it fixed and even tweaked my brakes, all for a very reasonable price. Cheers!

I hired a bike for 30 days at a very competitive price. My initial communication was from overseas and the guys at The Bicycle Hub were great to deal with from the very start. When I collected the bike the super friendly staff took time to fit my helmet and adjust the seat height for me. They also provided a lock, spare tube, and basic tools (just in case). The bike had been well maintained and I had heaps of fun with it.

Awesome service, great bike. They were extremely helpful and friendly providing tips about what roads and paths to take. On Sunday when public transit is less I definitely recommend hiring a bike. When I get home I'll fix up my bike because what they lent me reminded me how nice a well tuned bike is to ride.
