Absolutely fantastic, well worth visiting, a great history talk, about all the items that were there. A great black smiths as well, a man working with a wood lathe, making some great
things, which are for sale in the lovely cafe, all in all, what a brilliant place .

A place to visit on a Saturday.
300 years of Artisan history tucked away behind Chestnut Square in Wellesbourne. Wood turner and Blacksmith on site.
Cafe with coffee and cakes. Also tea. Run completely by volunteers hence open only 1 day a week. Volunteers friendly and informative. Next Saturday demo of the old skill of iron tyre fitting to wooden cartwheel. History live in present day. Worth a visit.

4 year old grandson had a wonderful time making "toys from trash' with one of the volunteers. She'd clearly spent a great deal of time preparing and planning the activities. We'd anticipated spending a short time there, but with grandson fully occupied, we were there a couple of hours. A hidden treasure that's well worth a visit, especially if interested in old crafts & skills.

I was given the Blacksmith experience as a gift and today was the day that I got to use it.

What an excellent experience!
I'd been looking forward to it, since i received it as a gift and on top of that I was lucky enough to have had Joe as my instructor. Joe clearly has a passion for Blacksmithing and it shows in how he functions, demonstrates and explains as an instructor. Because of this, he was able to extract the best out of the attendees. A genuinely nice guy too.
Derek was also fantastic, warm, welcoming and hospitable.
In fact, everyone was friendly. The fact that these guys all volunteer and keep Chadhams Yard operational is absolutely inspiring.
Its a small place, but well worth a visit if you're a local like me, or just visiting for the day.
The cake and coffee was also very satisfying.

I will absolutely go back, even if it is just for some cake, coffee and a chat.

Worth a visit for local history. Educational for children - be sure to engage a volunteer guide for the stories and facts to get the best out of your visit. Volunteer guides are very helpful and knowledgeable. Cafe was basic, but pleasant.

This blacksmith's yard is a delightful and precious little piece of heritage. Charming setting tucked away in corner of old Wellesbourne owned by the Chedham family for 5 generations. We learned so much! Charming little tea room/visitor centre to finish off this lovely visit. Highly recommended for 7 years and up !
