Yet ANOTHER awful experience with this company. Booked this morning for a return journey and a stop at the shop on the way which should have been £16 (wait times included!!) driver was clearly trying to take advantage and started throwing out numbers, his original price was over £18, which then came down to £17.20 and he called it £17 when I asked for a receipt to check with the office. I checked with the office once home she did the maths and confirmed I have been overcharged, I use this company several times a week for journeys and have been for a while, she apologised that I've been overcharged but said there's nothing they can do! Absolutely appalling and feel really taken advantage of. Basically, the drivers can charge you whatever they want and get to pocket it, and the office wont do anything about it. Disgusting.

I regularly use the central cars app with a very good service but had a dreadful experience today. Booked my pick up from Margate station with a note of what time my train was due in. Got out 4 minutes late to a message on the app saying car has arrived but no car in sight. Called the office to be very curtly told the driver left 1 minute earlier & that they are only obliged to wait 1 minute & they are not obliged to call. I said the drivers usually call but the call handler could not have cared less. He said I could not make a complaint today as the manger was not in. Really poor service & so infuriating

Stayed in Broadstairs for the weekend and used this taxi service 3 times. It was excellent. Easy to book online, very fast waiting times and clean cars. The drivers were lovely and even recommended places to go for the weekend. Great pricing too. Shame for the bad reviews on here, I think they should re look at some of the drivers they have and check they are safe people.

Terrible. Booked several days in advance and asked question in the relevant box. Never got a reply or an acknowledgement of the booking. Followed it up with a call. Two taxis booked. Didn’t turn up. Thanks very much!

Pre booked a taxi the night before for 16:10 the next day. Called central cars at 15:55 because nothing had been created and wait times showed 30 mins, they said they look at assigning 7 mins before, which the assigned while I was on the phone at 16:00 (at the point they assigned) app showed 25 mins wait. Which showed this 5 mins later. My hospital appointment was 16:30 so I had to call another taxi company who picked me up instantly and got me to my appt in time.
This is not the first time I had issues with central cars especially with pre booked taxis.

Don’t think I will be using them again.

Would give 0 star if possible. Prebooked taxi for drop off to work, time came and went, no taxi.

Called office 20mins after taxi due to arrive only to get the ruddest man saying the taxi times are not guaranteed. I asked why was it confirmed if that is the case. Had to cancel taxi, find another one and ended up late to work.

USELESS...don't bother if you want to get to your destination on time.

After having a horrendous experience with a driver from the Margate rank pulling up outside mine touching my leg asking to come into my house. I decided that I would give the local firm another chance as not all taxi drivers are bad and I hadn’t had that before. (I didn’t report it as I called the phone in the taxi rank and stupidly blamed myself for being drunk getting into a taxi alone)
Yesterday I ordered my cab on the app I had my daughter and a lot of shopping, I got a notification that my taxi had arrived but I could see it elsewhere on the map I called central to let them know where I was and I was met with the rudest man I have ever spoken too, raising his voice telling me it was my fault! Honestly I’m all for supporting local business but I ordered a uber straight after on the app and they was there within 3 minutes and i had an excellent journey. I will not be riding with central cars again and will make sure none of my female friends do!

I booked a car on Wednesday to pick me up from Manston and take me to Kent and Canterbury hospital at 630am on the Friday morning. The car turned up on time I was sent a message so I could track the driver’s whereabouts. When I got into the car the driver was extremely hospitable we(I) chatted all the way there time went quickly totally took my mind off my up coming operation. I cannot thank the driver enough and central car for their excellent service.
