Great, stopped here for lunch as I was passing through on my bike. Lovely simple menu, all the essential, soup, sandwiches, toasties and a huge selection of home baking. Well worth a visit. And the staff were all great too.

We stopped just to have a wee break of driving, went in and had a great surprise, lovely gift shop, really nice and friendly coffee shop with delicious food. Great customer service and pet friendly. Highly recommend to stop by before to get into the forest.

After a great morning walking in the Galloway Forest, we called in at the CatStrand. Wow, what a gem of a place.its a gift shop with interesting books and art. But the best surprise is the cafe. Serving the best haggis and baked potato ever! We have called their butcher to buy more haggis.They have a nice selection of local beers to wash down a haggis lunch

Have seen several bands here and also attended talks, used the brilliantly stocked gift shop and eaten in the cafe. The Catstrand is a fabulous community hub and also a great intimate venue with a lovely vibe - highly recommended!
