I found Cath through the Rick Steve’s guide book and reached out to her several months ago to book a half day private tour. She was extremely personable and knowledgeable. It was great having her walk with us through Culloden and educating us on the real story (versus Outlander book / stories)of the Jacobite battle. We also saw Clava Cairns and & Cawdor Castle. Both were really interesting.

To get the most out of your visit to Inverness I highly recommend booking one of Cath’s tours. Also do so early because she does book up. Cath was able to give recommendations for restaurants so I could book early.

When I first started communicating with Cath, I knew our time with her would be top notch!! Cath is from Inverness and knowledgable of all the rich history and sites of the area. She is a warm friendly joyful lady that loves people. She pays attention to each detail from her customer and creates an itinerary that suits specific interests. Spending time with Cath and learning more about the area while seeing the beautiful highlands area was a highlight of our trip! Cath was an absolute gem! She shares the history of Inverness and each location with such charm that you leave feeling like you’re now part of it. Great Tour!

We really enjoyed our tour with Cath — she arranged the most beautiful sunny day in Inverness for us …and we enjoyed the tour as well. 😉

Seriously though, it’s clear Cath has extensively studied the city and local history and we learned a lot of interning info about the city and it’s history. Her love of history and this beautiful city comes through. I think our whole family (2 adults + a 6-year old) would’ve been thrilled to spend a whole day with Cath learning about this area. Hey — that’s an idea! Maybe we’ll ask her to do a longer private tour next time we come to town!
