A perfect day out in nature! Carsington Water Visitor Centre is a fantastic place for a relaxing and enjoyable visit. Whether you're into walking, cycling, water sports, or just bird watching, there's something for everyone here. The views around the reservoir are absolutely stunning, and the fresh, clean water adds to the peaceful vibe. It's very quiet and calming ideal if you're looking to escape the noise of everyday life. The atmosphere is family-friendly, and there's a great play area for kids too. You'll also find a few shops, a nice cafe for a bite to eat, and plenty of picnic spots.
Facilities are very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's a brilliant spot to visit with both family and friends. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a mix of nature, fun activities, and great scenery.

Lovely place to visit, with plenty of walks to go on, some more challenging than others.

Our daughter really enjoyed the play area, and the smooth paths around the visitors centre where she could ride her scooter.

Pet friendly and has a nice cafe serving hot and cold food, drinks and icecream.

Other than parking and cafe spends, it's a free day out for the family.

Well worth going into the information area and learning about where our water comes from.

Enjoyed the long walk around the Reservoir but was disappointed by the restaurant at the visitors centre. I arrived and secured my dog at a table outside away from other guests and went inside to order. By the time I was served I had missed the lunch menu by 3 minutes and was not able to order what I wanted, I therefore ordered a sandwich from the all day menu...although only white bread was available..the sandwich arrived and it was nice but the smallest I had ever been served in my life and I am no spring chicken...should have gone to the courtyard cafe..next time perhaps.

Large open spaces for walking with activities dotted around. Good visitor centre and cafes all reasonably priced. Plenty of on-site paid parking

Great walk around the water, fairly hilly but very enjoyable. The whole area is clean and well maintained. Not much food on offer back at the visitor centre and no pubs along the red route.

Fabulous visitors centre with a severn trent exhibition. Cafe and restaurant and plenty of shops. There are many routes to walk around the lake with great views and plenty of wildlife. Parking is quite cheap and plenty of disabled spaces. There is a children's play area and plenty of picnic benches. Can get very windy around the lake.
