Awesome piece of history right on the coast! The castle is super well-preserved and gives you a real feel for medieval life. Great views, cool cannons, and lots to explore. Perfect spot for history buffs or just a chilled walk with a view. Definitely worth a visit if you’re near Belfast!

It's absolutely worth a half day trip, we loved all sets of original staircases and big top room. A dinner room was a great surprise. 10/10 for a family half day trip. Staff amazing. Loved small praying room and all the details in rooms through the building. There is so much to see. There is also a child friendly room with so much to play and see about past.

Another beautiful castle. We went early on a Tuesday and it was mostly empty. There's a few different rooms to explore. Nice little stop if you're doing a day tour to the Causeway.

This is a wonderful experience. We got to freely walk through the castle, dress up with some of the outfits, explore many rooms. There was no line up to get in. We bought the tickets on site. Parking is across the road for a small fee.

It's one of the best castles I've seen. Very fortunate on the day of the visit, they were archery plus people dressed in costumes, which really gave you a sense of history.

We visited Carrickfergus Castle over the weekend with family and had such a lovely experience! The historical landscape is absolutely stunning, and the architecture is incredibly well preserved. Walking through the castle felt like stepping back in time. I was especially amazed by the amount of labour and craftsmanship that went into its construction—it really makes you appreciate the history even more. A great day out for all ages, and I highly recommend the visit to anyone interested in heritage and beautiful views!

Well preserved Castle. Cute town. With the visit! We happened to be there for the annual reenactment of the landing of William of Orange before the Battle of the Boyne; interesting!

Very good for history buffs, lots to see and some very good views to make nice pictures, we visited on a really nice day, blue skies and sunny. Very interesting exhibits around the site, lots of stairs.
