I booked a taxi at 13.35 for 14.10 to go to the station, i had a train booked for 14.40. I was still waiting at 14.15, so I called and was told he was just round the corner, another 10 minutes and still no taxi, so I called again, I was told he was stuck in traffic, the operator said she would call me back in 2 mins. I had no phone call, and when I tried to phone them again, nobody answered. A taxi eventually turned up at 14.30. The driver told me the original drive had gone to the wrong place. I've now missed my train, so thank you very much. DO NOT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY.

Got me a taxi pretty much straight away after being let down by a pre-booked uber. Defo felt like a lifesaver as I was travelling alone and didn’t know how I was going to get back to Carlisle (from Bowness). Driver was really great too, knew exactly where he was going and super efficient! Would definitely use this company again!

I will NOT recommend you wait forever. Supposed to take 6mins and took 30mins while booked 15mins in advance.

The receptionist just hang up the phone, very poor service.

What a pleasure this company were to deal with. Prompt response to call, very helpful as we had no idea where we were going or time needed to get there. Car turned up on time, (early in fact but happy to wait for us), direct route taken with pleasant, friendly, conversation on way. Gentleman was so informative and helpful to newcomers to town. Rang company again later to book return car, again very friendly and helpful, remembered me from day before and asked if wedding had gone well - impressive. Then had to call and cancel when got offered lift back, no problem at all, very understanding. Highly recommend this company after our dealings with them over the weekend, absolute credit to themselves and Carlisle.

Excellent service having called them to take me to hospital for important treatment after my daughter's car broke down on the way. The lady on the phone was so kind and reassuring which im very grateful for and the driver was also very kind. They went over and above to help me in a very stressful situation. This taxi service is fab! I got two taxis during a one day period, one in the morning and one after work at 4:30ish. I didn’t realise how long it would take me to get around Carlisle due to traffic but both taxis were prompt and friendly! Also massive thank you to the driver for my 4:30ish taxi who got me to the train station in time!! I will defo be using this service anytime I come to Carlisle!

We were in the Carlisle area for a wedding, and needed taxis from our accommodation to the reception and back. The day before the wedding I spoke to Lesley at 247365 and although she couldn't commit, she said she'd inform her colleague if I called back in the morning (the booking delay was caused by other wedding demands, etc, (no other firms could help) and the fact that we were some distance from Carlisle). I called in the morning, and spoke to Sue T, who was then able to confirm availability for the journeys (5.30 pm and midnight) and as they were out of area they would cost ... [a quoted and agreed price]. Nearer the time I spoke to Lesley again, confirmed everything and received updates regarding the arrival of our driver (Seb) who would undertake both trips. The staff I spoke to were courteous and true to their word, and Seb was punctual, polite, and a safe driver (in appalling conditions). I cannot fault the service provided and have no hesitation in recommending Carlisle 247365 Taxis. No pun, but we felt they went the extra mile for us.

Hopeless! I needed to get to Cumberland Infirmary A&E as quickly as possible for a medical emergency but the soonest available ambulance was in 6 hours. So I rang several Carlisle taxi firms to ask how soon they could get here. Time was of the essence. Was told by the friendly operator of this firm “15 minutes, I’m dispatching it now”. The driver arrived 40 minutes later, saying her Sat Nav "wasn't working properly" and hadn’t recognised my street name and had taken her to a completely different village. Surely she should have had enough local knowledge (after her self-professed boast of having been driving taxis for 20 years) to know which village she was in! If the operator had taken my Post Code that would have narrowed it down to just one street of 6 houses. Totally inept firm, will never use again.
