An amazing tour of Cardiff bay on a kayak.

I have recently discovered kayaking and booked a Cardiff bay adventure with Cardiff Bay Kayaking. Stephen is a brilliant instructor, very knowledgeable and great tour guide and I totally recommend this experience to everyone!

To start the day he had brought croissants and coffee, which was totally unexpected. I was provided with all the gear (wetsuit and waterproofs) I needed to keep me warm and safe, before the adventure stared in the river Taff.

You certainly see Cardiff from a totally different view point. We saw lots of wild birds and part of the old ship wreck the Louisa sticking out of the water. Unfortunately the water was a bit too choppy to see any more of the ship underwater. We paddled all the way to the Norwegian church and back around the edge of the bay.
The whole experience is amazingly good value for money and very well planned.

I loved every minute and I am looking forward to going again 😊.

We had an awesome time kayaking around Cardiff Bay! Stephen was super friendly—started us off with a tasty breakfast bringing crossiants and coffee and then gave a kayaking lesson and the notions of it.

We saw lots of brilliant views along the River Taff such as The Principality Stadium and many more. Stephen shared interesting facts about the area and wildlife.

He took great pics and had all the necessary gear we needed such as wetsuits and boots.

Had the best experience kayaking with Stephen. He’s a great guide, very knowledgeable about the city and its history. The experience felt very personal as we chatted with him throughout the whole tour and he even offered us coffee and pastries before we started as well as a break half way through for a chocolate biscuit. We were provided with all the gear and had a very detailed safety briefing. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about the city while getting a workout in paddling the kayak!!

This was a fantastic experience for me as a person who recently moved to Cardiff. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, we learned lots of interesting facts that made us feel a deeper connection to Cardiff. This is combined with an active and engaging tour.

We had a great time kayaking around Cardiff Bay and up the River Taff for a friend's hen party. We were fully kitted out and everything was really high quality. Stephen was a fab guide and all round lovely human being who put so much effort into catering to our needs. Communication leading up to the day was amazing and I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Cardiff!

I can't recommend Stephen enough. He's a really friendly guy and makes you feel super comfortable as soon as you meet him. Offered us a coffee and a Welsh cake before we got started which broke the ice as we got acquainted. Explained everything at length and he was patient, he has a way of making you feel comfortable enough to ask a question even if it sounded stupid. I felt safe throughout as his experience and knowledge is second to none. The equipment is well maintained and obviously high end. We thouroughly enjoyed our day kayaking down the river in Cardiff, it was fun and the tour information on the history is really cool. We stopped for a bit to skim stones and had a laugh. All in all a great day and I hope everyone uses CBK to see Cardiff.
