Captain Brod - Weymouth

Yesterday we hired Captain Brod to take us from Weymouth harbour to Portland Marina on his stunning boat Remedy for lunch @Salt restaurant.

It was my friend’s special Birthday and it was an amazing way to start the celebrations.

Captain Brod and his Wife Jess were the perfect hosts from start to finish and made us feel very comfortable on board. We were able to fully relax and enjoy the wonderful sail over taking in the stunning views. It truly was the most amazing experience and made the day extra special for the Birthday girl. I would not hesitate to recommend Captain Brod for any Chartering needs. It really made the day extra special and I would highly recommend.

Had an amazing evening in Weymouth Bay with James. His boat is immaculate and we were very well catered for. He was more than happy for us to get involved if we wanted and was keen to get the sails up rather than just motor around. Would highly recommend.

We had the best afternoon celebrating Mum’s special 70th birthday on board the beautiful ‘Remedy’ with Captain Brod! James and Jess really pulled out all the stops, from booking, organising, a fizzy toast to set sail, a delicious afternoon tea, even the weather and the local dolphin put in a last minute surprise appearance! The whole family enjoyed learning about sailing and the local area, even the kids helped steer and caught a mackerel or two! Captain and Mrs Brod are so friendly and welcoming. We can’t thank them enough for making our afternoon absolutely perfect, an amazing special family celebration for us all to remember for a long time. We cannot recommend this experience enough! My uncle booked this trip as surprise for myself and 2 children whilst staying in Weymouth - it was an amazing day!
We were extremely lucky with gorgeous weather, sailed out and decided to anchor up so we could have a swim, which was so much fun!
Also had a beautiful tapas and captain Brod and charlotte were very attentive
The children were given an opportunity to steer which they loved.
We saw the dolphin too
It really was a day to remember!

I’ve been lucky enough to sail on Remedy with Captain Brod. He’s an excellent captain and makes you feel at ease.

Remedy is spacious, comfortable and a fantastic looking vessel with everything you could want for a pleasure sail or more of an adventure.

We went across the Channel to Alderney, brilliant sailing, sights, deserted beaches and dolphins!

Highly recommended, if you get the opportunity, go for it!

I've had the pleasure of going out on Remedy with Captain Brod a few times. The first time there was no wind to start with but that didn't stop us having an amazing time. We went fishing and all onboard caught fish. We even had an opportunity to jump in the water with 30 meters under the keel. Fantastic experience.
The second time we were able to set sail properly and Captain Brod took us into Portland harbour, showing his more than capable abilities and experience in sailing, and Remedy's comfort and control on the seas. She really is a beautiful boat.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing day. Captain's Brod's family was on board on two of the sails, and you couldn't meet nicer, more accommodating people.
We had fantastic food and drinks and can't recommend a trip out on Remedy enough.

I have been lucky enough to sail with Captain Brod a few times and what a fantastic experience in a beautiful part of the world. Whether the sun’s out and you spend the afternoon being chased by dolphins or there’s a bit of a squall and you’re healing over across the bay there’s a fantastic sense of freedom from being at sea. Captain Brod is an experienced skipper and Remedy is a beautiful well equipped boat and a comfortable place to spend time
