We have just got back from our adventure with John. We have had the most amazing day, enjoyed by everyone from age 11 right up to 79! John couldn’t have been more informative, kinder or more patient than he was. We enjoyed every part of our trip and learned a lot along the way. We have already recommended the trip to friends and are hoping to come back ourselves next summer.

Such a lovely experience, travelling up the river by canoe. We stopped for a swim followed by spot of tea and cake. Hal and Arthur were fabulous hosts and guides, really recommend for a relaxing, family fun day on the river.

We had a great evening trip with Hal from Stoke Gabriel to The Maltsters. Campfire, tea and marshmallows on return leg with perfect twilight sky as we got back. Very enjoyable.

Superb 40th birthday adventure last week, a lovely paddle down to the pub at Dittisham and then a stop on a beach to make a fire and have a brew and cake on the way back. All 11 of us really enjoyed it, a great day out on a beautiful stretch of river, thank you Hal!

I was in a group of 6 adults and 6 children (ages 5-10) and we went for a day with Canoe Adventures leaving from Tuckenhay last week, and had a great time with Hal. It was perfectly organised, always paddling with the tide, there was some bushcraft at lunch time to keep the kids occupied, and a stop for ice cream and toilets. The canoe was stable and easy to get in and out of. Hal knew the wildlife and pointed out things of interest, and it was the highlight of our holiday.
