We enjoyed a fantastic day with Richard, exploring the hills, valleys and tucked away spots of the Cambrian Mountains. Richard was an exceptional guide, personable and knowledgeable. He was able to open our eyes to the history, geography and beauty of the area and also to take us to locations we would never have been able to find on our own. Highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning tour!
I am from overseas and had an amazing half-day tour with Richard as my guide. The tour provided gorgeous views of the Cambrian Mountains and surprisingly informative historical context for the many locations that we visited. I particularly enjoyed the off road sections. I am very pleased that I got some fantastic photography to fondly remember my visit. This tour is a wonderful way to discover the natural beauty of the area!

Sorry, its taken a while to put a review on here. We had a family bereavement. We went out on a full day trip (and it was a full day) with Richard on 13th June. We had great fun exploring off the beaten track places which we definitely wouldn't have found by ourselves. Richard is a mine of information and filled us in on a lot of the background of the area and particularly its mining history. We stopped at the cafe at Devil's Bridge for lunch which was lovely. We went back to two of the places that we had seen and Richard was kind enough to send links to enable us to find them.
There were plenty of chances to stretch our legs and take photos.

Hats off to Richard who was able to accommodate our needs at just a few days notice. Our 4 hour experience was fantastic and both my mother and my wife, both with mobility issues, never needed to leave the vehicle to enjoy the experience. Richards enthusiasm and local knowledge made time fly by and I would highly recommend his services to anybody spending time in the area.

We toured with Richard (4 adults) on 28th July. What a fantastic experience!! We did a half day (4 hour) tour. Richard is very passionate and knowledgeable about the area. We went places we could never have got to and saw the beauty of this part of Wales, experiencing the sound of silence outdoors! If you are thinking of booking, go ahead, you won't be disappointed.

You will not be disappointed.
We booked a full day tour with Cambrian Safaris to explore mid-wales and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Five generations ago our family left Wales in search of work but we never lost the love of this place. Bringing my mother was like coming home in every sense. The place we stayed is where our family lived two centuries ago. Richard met us there, drove us all around the region and spoke with such enthusiasm and knowledge about the ecology, history, industry, and life of the people of this area. It was history coming alive right before us, every turn more beautiful than the last. We felt peace. We felt connected. We met the most wonderful people. We left with full hearts.
If you have the chance, go exploring with Cambrian Safaris. You will find the magic of Wales for yourself.
(....and route maps because maps are amazing in their own right but Richard sending you link to the tracker of your journey will just inspire so much more fun research when you get home and are missing those rolling green hills full of lambs and bluebells)
