Camboats - Cambridge River Trips - Cambridge

I booked Camboats for a team building day of 24 people at the beginning of this month. Peter was extremely responsive and provided lots of suggestions/options and prices to allow us to find the right package for our budget.

On the day the team played some village fete type games and a treasure (there was plenty of friendly competition!). Then they were taken out on a 2 hour cruise going past plenty of famous Cambridge sights. The fish and chips served on the cruise was excellent too.

All in all, they all had a fantastic team and are still talking about it now. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Camboats to anyone

We had wonderful trip out on the Cam with Skipper Peter filling us in with all of the nuggets of information he's picked up over the years. The in-laws are all ready planning to make a return visit. Great fish n chips and tasty beverages to boot. A great day out. Highly recommended ?

My family booked with Camboats for 2 birthdays, both beginning and returning to the Plough pub/restaurant in Fen Ditton (for a post boat lunch). The first time we were on Rosie, had a great tour, sunflower seeds provided to feed the ducks. Everyone enjoyed it. The second time we were on Princess Charlotte (because it was a larger group), and we found it suited us better, with it's built in seating areas which better allowed chatting, and space for the little kids to wander between adults. The skipper even let my vehicle obsessed little boy help her steer the boat, so for him it couldn't have been better!
Both times the skippers were very welcoming, have gently steered us towards various water birds (to feed them), and pointed out sights along the way.

Had a girls day out. Excellent day. Communication was prompt when planning to book and good suggestions made. This was my 2nd time travelling with Camboats and it definitely won't be the last. The friends I went with loved it too.

Had a fabulous private river trip on Rosie the narrow boat. The host / Captain Peter was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, informative and friendly. He provided a running commentary on the tour of the local area and wildlife on the river. He provided a plentiful picnic lunch. Rosie is moored off the beer garden of the Plough PH in Fen Ditton which had plenty of parking and is an ideal starting point. From booking to start of the trip Peters communication was excellent. Would highly recommend for a trip of any occasion whether it be a romantic, family or work team building day.

We had a 3-hour cruise on 'Rosie' as a private hire for a special wedding anniversary, out to the Fens and then back to Cambridge City Centre. The countryside was beautiful and the city really interesting, as the rowing season was getting going. Peter was brilliant, helpful in advance, extremely informative as we chugged along the river, pleasant and accommodating throughout. We ate a nice lunch and relaxed into the gentle pace.
It was an extremely enjoyable experience and it is honestly hard to know how it could have been bettered. Thoroughly recommended!

We have just celebrated my friends hen party in Cambridge and one of our highlights was afternoon tea on 2 of the E-boats. The service has been exceptional from my first communication. Nothing has been too much trouble. Peter even took all of our luggage (13 cases!) to our hotel which was outside of Cambridge so we could relax and enjoy our boat ride!
I can't recommend this activity or company enough. The river trip was peaceful, beautiful and comfortable. Our afternoon tea plentiful and delicious.
