we went on your Torquay trip on 30/08/2024 Driver was Jason. before we boarded the coach we were informed it would be late by one of your reps in Leeds bus station which was appreciated. when arrived earlier than told we met one of the nicest most polite driver I have ever met. His name was Jason and entertained us all the way to Torquay. he was amazing from start to coming home. really helpful with the more elderly of the passengers. and having a laugh and joke to keep us in the Holiday mood. If I were to book again with you I would hope to get Jason again. he's a credit to your company. well done Jason and Caladonian for a great break

Myself and mum went to Scotland hotel near Prestwick and this was a good holiday a few little problems Which could be resolved the hotel from restaurant to rooms dont have a lift for people with walking sticks. Restaurant ok except last night there was another coach came in which took priority over our time slot so queueing over 10 minutes or more for food also the second night we had from 19.30_20.30 but at 20. 15 they were removing the food food was cold. Morning breakfast toast are a shambles because only one machine working properly suggest pop up toasters easier and quicker.Drivers from tjs travel our coach driver Ian excellent

Just been on the Stratford and Cotswolds trip. The journey home was horrendous. We got to Stratford at 10.30am and the driver Darren picked us up at 2.30pm for journey home. We were only on the coach for 1 and a half hours before he stopped at services for 30 minutes. He went for something to eat whereas most of us had eaten in Stratford. After all the drop offs we didn't get into Hull till just gone 7.30. Cannot understand how it took so long to get to Hull. Think we should have set off back an hour earlier. We were never once informed by the driver about anything relevant about places we were visiting. In fact someone had to show him the itinerary they had got because he didn't know about going to Leamington Spa the first day of trip. Every stop we had we seemed to never get off on time. And Caladonian wonder why they cannot fill coaches. Maybe they should put the customer first and send drivers on courses.

Me and my wife went on Beatles tour, ferry on the Mersey. Unfortunately a technical issue stopped us going on the ferry which was disappointing. The Beatles tour was really good , Steve our guide was very informative and knowledgeable. The icing on the cake was our driver Tony who was outstanding in every way. He did everything possible to make our trip a total success, thanks Tony.

I booked a trip for my family 2 adults 2 children to Legoland on the 10th August. We were advised to meet at Hull Station for 07.10 and we got there promptly having woken our young children up at 05.30. Our coach never arrived. After standing around for over 30 minutes a representative of Caledonian advised the coach would be with us in a further 30 minutes as there was a delay at the depo by this time there was many frustrated children and a lot of other coaches had left. When the coach finally arrived over a hour late it wasn't a Caledonian coach. The driver wasn't a Caledonian staff member it was quite clear this person was sub contracted for our trip which was disappointing. He was given a package from a Caledonian staff member at the station. It seemed very unprofessional as he advised the tickets were sent to the wrong place, he also said there was a problem at depo but on arrival to hull station the driver had several family members in the coach which he later advised he was taking to London after dropping us to Legoland. We took our seats and went to pick up the other clients from Hessle and Anlaby who also had a long delay. We all got talking to each other on the trip and the people from Hessle and Anlaby received no courtesy call or notification of the delay of over a hour. The customer service shown by Caledonian at this point was very disappointing. We hit traffic on the way to Legoland on when we got there we had less than 3 hours to explore before the park closed. My children got to go on two rides. This wasn't even a ½ day at the park and was very disappointing for my children. We traveled for my son's birthday and when booking it was mentioned do we want this to be on the booking. I don't know why this was offered as he didn't even get a happy birthday message. I thought Caledonian was going to do something special for the trip.Day 2 we all checked out as requested by the driver and waited outside the hotel. We were there prompty as we all the other customers. The driver came out and advised he was going to get the coach. He came back to us over 30 minutes later and advised that the coach was not working and he thought it was a flat battery and that he is waiting for recovery. At this point we had been waiting for some time and my son being his birthday was very upset and said he wasn't going to get to Legoland. I went to reception and asked them to price me some mini busses to get us and the other guests to Legoland. The other guests were very frustrated. I called Caledonian at this point and advised we are getting prices for mini busses and will charge this back to Caledonian as we were not prepared to wait hours for recovery. The woman on the phone promised me a call back within 5 minutes she advised that you were not aware that the coach wasn't working. Why was you not aware? Surely your driver should tell you this? The driver did come back and we got on our way but i received no call back and this is yet another fail in Caledonian's Customer Service. The driver said due to the delays we could depart a hour later from Legoland so we left at 4pm which is 6 hours at Legoland ( this is the amount of time we were advised we would get anyway so I don't see how this is an extra hour)
When we met the driver to come home the driver asked us to confirm if everyone was on board surely this is his job.
He also has 2 unaccompanied minors on the coach the youngest being approximately 6 years old.
So thank you Caledonian for your appalling customer service and ruining my sons birthday. He was 5 years old !! And i have to pay £200 for a new tablet as you couldn't be bothered to speak to the driver. I will be ensuring i advise all of your appalling customer service. Its so disappointing as we used you by recommendation. No surprise i couldn't submit a complaint on your website or get an email address to contact you on your website. You definitely excel at being elusive and deceiving and miss selling a two day trip when in reality we didn't manage one full day at the park!

This company do not care about the customer experience, they just want the most profit for themselves!

We did the 2days to Chester and Liverpool.

6 hours to get from Hull to Chester! picked up at Castleford, Wakefield, and Leeds on the way.....which wasn't on the way!

Had 3.5 hours in chester before we drove 1 hour away to crewe, to stay in a dump hotel!

The next day we drove 1 hour to liverpool (which is actually 20minutes away from Chester) we had 5 hours in liverpool before the 5.5hour journey home through Leeds, Wakefield and Castleford before getting to Anlaby where the bus broke down at yhat stop.

To much time spent on the coach!

I am re writing this review as the first one appears to have been deleted by persons unknown. The same goes for their Facebook fan group . A group of us were at the Claymore hotel Arrochar last week Unfortunately three people vad to cancel due to illness. We accept thatcost of the trip was lost. However the hotel owned by Caledonian wouldn't let the remaining have the inclusive drinks to share amongst them stating it was against licensing laws.On are return home the group leader phoned Caledonian and was told the group couldn't be trusted to drink responsibly he was astonished and insulted by this comment. Our group visit a all inclusive hotel in Blackpool every January which as a 13 hour free bar we are welcomed there every year this being our 13th year and always drink responsibly.Other coach companies also have 3 hour free bars which Caledonian don't do claiming again that it is against licensing laws.Caledonian basically got £850 for doing nothing and insulted the group in the process. The 4 drinks per day vouchers we didn't get add up to less than one drink per day for the 13 people who were on the trip also they could be used for tea coffee and soft drinks. Our group travelled 3 times a year with caledonian but wont be using them again.
