Expert guides ushered our driver into parking boxes. When every vehicle was safely parked. We heard the safety rules. Then we we free to find seats with foot passengers. There were toilets on board, railings were everywhere to hold on to but there was hardly any sway as the ferry crossed the water. We looked for seals, perhaps dolphins. There were none on the August morning that we travelled. Aran is beautiful. There are many lucky people who have set up homes on the beautiful Scottish paradise. We had fish and chips. Delicious! And ice cream. Then it was time to take a walk. I took some photos.

Little terminal that was efficient and on time - when I travelled there were additional sailings due to service limitations at Brodick. A quick 30 minute sailing where you could buy tickets on the boat. No cafe on the ferry or near the terminal that I saw but the sailing is short. Friendly staff working on the boat.

Smooth sailing. On time, professional crew. We paid on board rather than via web. Ferry was about 60 percent full in late July afternoon. Arran is gorgeous. Miles of one-lane track leads to the dock.

Very good and regular ferry service from atran to the main land at kintyre. They told me there's no need to book in advance and though the ferry is rather small, everybody had a spot for their car. Must say, it's the most beautiful ferry spot ever !

Very quiet here with no staff. You can either book your tickets online or on the ferry. Staff nice and friendly onboard the ferry. Only 30 minute crossing.

Ferry is a good alternative if you can't book on the main ferry from Adrossan to Brodrick. You don't have to book as it a turn up and go ferry that runs every hr. As well the drive to and from is spectacular.

This wee terminal hosting the Catriona, a Calmac ferry which tootles back and forth from Lochranza to Clonaig is a real lifeline when issues with the main Brodick ferry occur. The terminal is warm and comfy with nice toilets and free wifi. The staff at the terminal and on the ferry are helpful and knowledgeable.
