Great experience. Campsite has a really interesting layout your with plenty of secluded pitches. Shallow stream running through the centre, shallow enough to dip in and walk through. Excellent introduction for my daughter into wild-ish camping. Recommend.

Came here today 1st February 2025. to drop some clothes off for my hubby and friend as due to weather and time of year they was a bit muddy. I have to say my 1st time coming here after hearing alot from the boys who come here often.. I LOVE IT 😍 what a camp site.
Absolutely lovely, great spot, breathtaking views and scenery. The river is beautiful 🤩
I didn't want to leave, was so peaceful and calming. I will definitely be back to enjoy a night or 2 there and bring the kids.

If you want a camp site with well manicured lawns, fairy lights leading the way to heated bathrooms and easy car access to you tent, this isn't the place for you, but, if you want to get as close as possible to 'proper' wild camping, get a bit muddy, have fantastic walks from your door step and easy access to a castle, then CaeDai's the place to be.

There's plenty of space in the car park. Follow the track down to the clean compost loo and the drinking water tap. Beyond that is the main camping field, the river side pitches and, my favourite spots, in the woods.
Night time is as dark as it gets, all you hear are the owls over head and the river bubbling away.
Once you drop down the car park there's no phone signal (at least on EE)

The site is run by a couple of really friendly, helpful owners and the tamest chickens you could meet.
And all for the bargain price of £10.
Looking forward to being back soon.

Update June 25 - back again at the weekend and just as enjoyable! It was a lot busier but, over the bridge in to the "wild area" I found a lovely, quiet secluded spot.
Managed to grab a bit of late wild garlic in the woods to add to dinner 😀
I didn't see or hear any problems there, however, having read the booking email, it seems there are those who visit who are disrespectful to the land. It's simple....."leave no trace"!
One tip is to take something to repel the bitey insects. I've a little usb bug light for the tent but didn't stop them feasting on me when I sat outside!

Check out Andy Outdoors on YouTube who has several videos from the site.

This is an amazing campsite, Lisa the lady that runs it is really friendly.
Stayed here with my partner (this is where we met) and 3 children and dogs, the campsite is beautiful with woodland and a stream that runs through it.
The children can play in the stream and loved the rope swings,
I can not recommend this campsite enough.

Stayed at this site for the first time over a weekend in June 25. 4 adults and 2 young teenagers. Loved the place. Camping next to the river was so relaxing and the kids loved playing in it and on the rope swings.
First time camping for the kids so wasn’t sure how they would take it without their Xbox etc but they loved it.
Just a few minutes driving to Denbigh if you have forgotten anything or fancy a meal or drink out.
Fully recommend staying here.
Owners were lovely and very helpful.

Lisa and Ian are always welcoming and accommodating here. We have been a few times for off grid wild camping breaks away. Lovely green space, bustling river, woodland areas and friendly chickens that visit. Our dog love the open space, even though she's going blind. My partner enjoys the off road experience feel to get there and around the site.
