This is such a great place for Afternoon tea in Battle. The sandwiches were delicious and soft, home made scones and cakes, it was the perfect afternoon tea in the perfect setting. Great value for money and the staff were exceptional will definitely be returning many thanks

We were a tad late for the breakfast menu but the kind staff happily fixed us up a full english nonetheless, it was greatly appreciated! food was excellent and service was fab. will be returning!

Lovely breakfast next to the battlefield and abbey. We were lucky enough to snag a table facing the abbey and in sunny weather! I had the soup special of the day which was beef and roasted peppers paired with a ciabatta for £7.90 and it was very comforting. Staff were friendly and cheerful, very good ambience and the medieval style decor was a nice touch! Will come again if visiting Battle

Finding somewhere in Battle that serves food late afternoon is rather difficult so we were really pleased to stumble upon Burton's. My family of four really enjoyed our meal and I was so grateful to the lovely staff for secretly decorating my mum's birthday cake. Highly recommend.

We may have come on a wrong day and generally it could be a lovely place to go. However when we arrived we heard another customer say they had been waiting for 45 minutes for there food. Apparently a group of 20 walked in and was taking priority over everyone else. After we had ordered and payed for our food other people said they had been waiting for 45 minutes and were hungry. Nobody had been told there was a long wait at the time of ordering. Not much of an apology. Food was generally good. Service could be better ordered at 1.15 came at 2 30

A little Gem.
The food was amazing.
We all had the Steak and Ale pie.
It was absolutely delicious home made pie creamy mash veg and gravy.
Best pie we have had for a long time.

Stopped in today and had a cream tea with my mum… possibly the best fruit scones I’ve ever tasted!!

Seriously I want that recipe.
