We were warmly welcomed by Christine and Martin at Brynawel Farm. It was like a homecoming. A great place to stay, secluded, quiet, surrounded by sheep. And dogs are more than welcome. Everything has been thought of for our loved ones.|Christine gives excellent tips for excursions and eating out in the area.|But the best thing of all is breakfast in the morning together with all the other guests in the house. Sitting together at the large table, Martin and Christine serve an original English breakfast that they have freshly prepared in the open kitchen. And then they talk about everything that moves the Welsh heart - an insight into life in Wales.

Beautiful location very quiet. Great hosts very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really good with a good selection of cereals and cooked food. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. We visited two local pubs called the Shepherds County inn and the Buck inn. The food was good in both. Would definitely stay there again,

We stayed for 3 nights in the family room, Christine and Martin were warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the local area. The breakfast was amazing (see photo), all made with locally produced ingredients. You can relax in the lovely garden while taking in the spectacular views. Would definitely recommend.

A great B&B. Christine and Martin are lovely hosts always up for a chat and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived including our two dogs. Our room was spacious, spotless and very comfortable. Amazing breakfast too. This isn’t my first visit and certainly won’t be my last. Love it here and can’t wait for next time.

I have been staying at Brynawel Farm for many years now and like the previous reviewer, always stay in Room 4. I rarely write reviews, but I was so concerned about the previous poor review I felt I had to comment on my own experience over 8 years staying at Brynawel Farm to give some context and balance.||Brynawel Farm B&B is a country, cosy and comfortable B&B. The hosts Martin and Christine are extremely welcoming and bend over backwards to make sure guests, | plus any additional needs that guests may they have, are accommated whereever possible. On the question of heating, this is a house, not a purpose built hotel like a Premier Inn (which do have heating controls for every room) and the heating does go off around 11pm and comes back on early in the morning. In the 8 years I have been staying, including in the depths of the winter when outside temperatures have been -8 degrees, or over the weekend of Storm Farragh in Nov 2024 when all the power went out for 18 hours, which affected the heating and hot water and I have never once been cold at night. Of course there are some people who are elderly, or like my Mum, very sensitve to temperature, which is why electic radiators are available to anyone who wants them. Chris over the years I have been staying has created some value added services for her guests. Most recently a guest microwave, cutlery and crockery for people who are staying and want to microwave a meal or heat up a takeaway in the evening, very useful for many guests who stay for work and don't want a pub meal every night.||I usually bring my dog with me and I find Brynawel Farm B&B very dog friendly rather than just dog tolerant like a lot of place. Dogs are welcome everywhere in the property, the large garden is secure so great for off the lead playtime and the resident dog, Doris, is very welcoming and up for a play or cuddle any time. There is an outside dogs shower with warm water to wash of mud or sand from your dog after a day on the beach or in the hills. There is even a draw of treats for guest dogs!||The guest sitting room with its huge log burner and sky TV is a lovely room to relax in of an evening especially in the winter and the garden and patio are lovely to sit out in on a summer evenings to enjoy the sunset and views with a glass of wine. ||There is plenty of parking for all guests but people do have to park consideratly and use some common sense so everone can park safely and come in and out without having to ask anyone else to move their vehicle. Perhaps the previous reviewer didnt't think about that. A brief glance a the 100s of very positive reviews on Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Google will give any potential guest a much better understanding of Brynawel Farm B&B then the one just previously left here. Plus of course all the guests who I see returning year on year to Brynawel Farm B&B, which personally I always feel is to best recommendation.
