Should be converted into Landmark Trust property in my opinion which would give it a longterm sustainable use. If visiting during the Summer months, beware of nettles, thistles, ticks and cowpats if wearing sandals, flip-flops, dresses and shorts. The surrounding ground is rather steep too.

Very unique a cute landmark! We went during February so be careful as it can get very muddy. Sadly this landmark is not accessible for people in wheelchairs but they can see from afar as it’s in a steep hill. However there is free parking quite close to it.

Beautiful Bruton where the sunsets are magical and the ciders are heavenly!! ❤️ You can never get bored with a walk around the countryside of Somert! ☀

Great place and worth the little climb and you can see great views of the town (church, school, playing fields and beyond)

Owned by the national trust with a small car park (not long term parking but enough to allow a visit)

I always find it a nice tranquil place and keep returning every time I go there

Went to Bruton to sketch the Dovecote...lovely 13th century Tower, amazingly picturesque up on its mound and what a lovely little medieval town

New off road free car parking, good views towards Bruton. Nice place to view a little history.
