We ordered a cab very early morning at the beginning of March..we had such a friendly driver he was lovely...he arrived on time and kindly helped us with our suitcase...thank you so much.

Fantastic customer service and great driver! I needed to get my son to school for his GCSE in a hurry as my car wouldn't start and buses running late as usual. They were very quick to collect him and got him there just in time. Thankyou !!

Had a cab booked at Wickford to pick me up from a late train. It wasn't there when I arrived, cab office shut so no one to speak to. Had to wait an hour for a different (more reliable) cab to pick me up. Not happy.

Stayed in the Travelodge in Wickford and they had Brown's Taxis as one of their recommended companies. We needed to go to the Lodge Country Inn. When the driver came we confirmed this location to him and after phoning his office he said it was one of their fixed rates of £10 and that he wouldn't be able to run the meter as we were traveling out of Wickford (strange policy, Wickford is tiny). We had a rough idea a tenner was excessive but weren't sure and were already in the taxi and didn't have the time to call out another company. After a journey of a few minutes (1.6 miles) we didn't really have a choice but to pay. We knew we'd been had, but figured it wan't worth moaning/making a scene over the few quid extra they charged. On the return journey, at around 1 am we obviously went with a different company. They charged us £6.50 which included the late night charge. Needless to say we were very disappointed to get ripped off earlier on and hope this review costs Brown's the fiver they nicked off us.
