Brilliant van hire service and great price. Had to book a Sprinter type on a Sunday, reception lady met us there at 8.30am and explained all the details. We were allowed to have the van for a full day, up until midnight. Everything went smoothly, would highly recommend.

Although an element of this issue is my fault but the attitude was appalling that I received. After a very long day of moving my sister to her new house and not getting back until 11pm unfortunately I left hundreds of pounds of dust sheets on the rear on the van ( ok my mistake ) so after realising I had done this I tried to contact them the next day with no answer. I then called them on the Monday explaining this and was told I would receive a call back shortly 2 days later I had to call them again to be told basically it’s tough luck but it was the attitude I received on the phone. Definitely won’t be using the company again. You would think they check the vans are clean before they go back out so there for call me to ask if I left them on there

Hired a Citroen C5 from this company. Car was immaculte throughout.

Service and comms were first class. The ability to get off your flight with the family and go straight to a lock box for your hire car keys is a dream. No messing about or delays when all you want to do is just get on the road and get to your destination.

Hired a van to move to York. Van and service were excellent. Staff very helpful. Flexible with pick up time. John is excellent, showed me how to use tail lift safely. Don't forget to refill with fuel before returning.

I had a deeply disappointing experience withJS Vehicle Rental that I feel compelled to share. After renting a van to move house, I returned it the next day, slightly late due to a family emergency, having informed them the evening before. I was assured that they would take my situation into account and try to offer a discount. Instead, they didn't communicate with me at all, took half of my deposit without any compassion or consideration for my circumstances.

To make matters worse, I filled the tank before returning the van, but they still charged me an additional £25 from my deposit for refueling, claiming they needed to take it to the garage. When I called to question this charge, I was met with a rude and dismissive response from a young employee who had no sense of customer service and insisted it was all my fault.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling completely undervalued as a customer. I expected better service and understanding, but instead, I was met with a lack of empathy and professionalism. I strongly advise others to look elsewhere when hiring a van. Save yourself the hassle and choose a company that values its customers and treats them with respect.

I've been using JS Vehicle Rental for a few weeks having recently sold my car. Its service is outstanding.

Booking is straightforward and I always receive prompt confirmation of my requests.

On arrival at the smart and clean premises, I'm greeted by a friendly and professional administrator, who goes through the paperwork carefully but efficiently.

I'm then shown the car by another friendly and professional member of staff, who points out any existing damage (so far trivial) and answers any further questions. The cars I've had so far have been nearly new, with all mod cons and in excellent condition.

On return, it's easy to find a space to park and I simply drop the key in the out-of-hours safe.

All this comes at a very competitive price and, overall, the quality of service beats local competition hands down. I'm so glad to have found this company.
