The Rise of the Tudors tour took us to stunning and significant locations, doing it in style and marvelous company. Philippa planned and executed a top notch experience for all of us. It was wonderful to be able to talk with fellow tour group members who were interested and knowledgeable, as well as to meet and hear from amazing historians whose work I’d read.

This was my fist organized tour and it was done impeccably. Philippa had everything arranged from start to end so that all the guests had to do was appear at the appointed time. The itinerary allowed for free time at each destination and the roster of speakers was enjiyable and informative. I am very much looking forward to traveling again with British History Tours next year. A definite 10!

I went on my first tour with British History Tours, The Anne Boleyn Tour May 2024, it far exceeded my expectations from beginning to end. Philippa curated a wonderful tour that included tour historian Gareth Russell, talks from Tracy Borman and Kate McCaffrey, the opportunity to dress in authentic Tudor costume, behind the scenes access at different sites, meeting the HAD girls, and so much more! It really was a dream come to true for me!! I look forward to my next trip with Philippa and British History Tours!

This tour was everything that I wanted it to be and more! Seeing photos of the places we got to visit and now being able to reflect and thinking that I was there is the most incredible feeling. The Anne Boleyn tour was one of the most amazing experiences of my life !! So well done and access to things the general
public never sees. Add to that the opportunity to dress like Tudor Royalty while staying at the breathtaking Hever Castle and it was beyond amazing !! So enjoyed meeting others with similar interests as well as much admired historians , Philippa , Gareth, and Tracy Borman !! Too many great things to mention !! Memories will last forever and looking forward to booking another tour with British History Tours !!!

Truly a wonderful experience in all aspects. From the private tours of Hampton Court Palace, the Tower of London, and Hever Castle to the Tudor “dress up” day and banquet in the great hall, it was fun, informative and special. The lectures were top notch and the accommodations as well. We would love to return for this or another tour and highly recommend it!

Just concluded my second British History Tour last week. Both times were absolutely wonderful. Philippa thinks of every detail so you don’t need to. From reminders of when breakfast and dinner are, to making sure you get incredible experiences you wouldn’t otherwise - these tours are amazing. I’ve finally talked my husband into going on one with me so we will be back in 2026!
