Loved our stay at the Coach House. Very comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lots of lovely, thoughtful touches make this place very special.
Love that you adore dogs as much as we do! so very accommodating and pet friendly.
The awful weather didn’t matter as we were tucked away cosy, warm and comfortable.

Just home from two weeks staying here with hubby horse and dog. Beautiful warm well equipped cottage, individual paddocks and large stables, large dog exercise paddocks great riding on lanes interlinked with bridle paths. Great pubs and stunning views. Mathew and Harry could not have been more helpful before we arrived and throughout our stay. Loved every minute as did horse dog and hubby.

Love this place!! Great accommodation, great hosts, great coffee - the Brackenthwaite Blend is perfect for a morning coffee.
Brilliant place if you have dogs, dog run, dog shower overall dog friendly.
Close to amazing beaches and other lovely walks.

What a wonderful place!! Immaculately clean and so tastefully decorated. The kitchen has everything you can possibly need for self catering. My husband and I both prefer cooking our own meals and we often find self catering properties lacking. Not this one!!

The beds are beautifully comfy and (again) immaculately clean. The towels are lovely and fluffy too.

If you visit from April to September you will be delightfully entertained by swallows that nest inside the barns. The hosts are great people who obviously LOVE all creatures and nature. They present you with a lovely welcome pack and if it includes eggs you are in for a treat. Nothing is too much trouble even though they are always busy they will always stop for a chat. Very nice guys!!!
The chickens and ducks are free to roam around the place and are true 'free range'.
There are so many lovely animals to feed and pet. The owners dogs are wonderful!! They will even allow you to throw balls for them (all day long if you feel so inclined) 🙂

There is plenty of space around the farm itself if, like us, you have a few health problems or aches and pains. Lots of benches, tables and seating areas for people to sit and relax. In the evening the setting sun can be spectacular viewed from the fields.

As well as having lots to do around Brackenthwaite itself there are plenty of other places to visit very close by. Oasis Wildlife is small but packed full of interesting wildlife. Farm Village is another lovely place to visit (It has Barn Owls!!) and the well known Leighton Moss RSPB reserve is one of my personal favourites. Of course you must visit Arnside if only for the ice creams and fish and chips.

You will miss this place when you leave. I speak from experience. We have stayed twice and look forward to another visit soon.

Its a lovely spot surrounded by both peaceful countryside and lots of things to do and see within touching distance. Everything has been carefully thought through for comfort and easy to use. No scary induction hobs here. Cosy beds and kind touches including for the dog. And a utility room. Its just lovely and the owners are delightful. Dont miss it.

If we could give this stay a 10* we would.
What a lovely week we have had here. Absolutely immaculate cottage and the little details go a long way!! So welcoming and friendly to all of us. Super dog friendly and our 3 doggies had an amazing time and met pigs and sheep for the first time. So peaceful and quiet here. The perfect break we all needed. Thank you so much Matthew and harry and all your family.

Lovely, peaceful and a home from home stay. Fantastic hosts with everything thought of for a memorable stay for the family. The outdoor space was the best and was enjoyed by the children, adults and most of all by our four legged friend!
