Bowmoor Sailing Club is run by a group of incredibly committed & enthusiastic volunteers. It is a very inclusive & friendly club. The facilities are tremendous & the lake is large with very good water quality. It caters for sailing, wind-surfing, kayaking, cold-water swimming & paddle-boarding, with lots of RYA courses. There is no water-skiing or jet skiing. It's a very scenic area with the lovely Lakes Bar & Kitchen just a short walk away.
Membership is extremely good value for money with many sailing & social events being held.
Members can camp or hire wooden 'pods' which is perfect for weekend events. There is a large, modern & spacious clubhouse with a lecture room, comfy-seating area, large changing rooms with showers & a great cafe, which is run by very friendly folk - fresh, hot food & good coffee that is amazingly priced.
We have only been members for a couple of years but the children have become proficient sailors now & my family love it. The more experienced members of club have been immensely supportive of my two youngsters and encourage them wholeheartedly.

What a wonderful place!
Stunning scenery

We had a meeting to be sure everything was suitable and adequate for our needs, as we have a son with a learning disability. Attention to detail was wonderful.
Hopefully, now the weather is nicer, we can make more use of our membership.
Club house is well equipped with everything you should need.

If you like sailing - or even just thought you might - then this is the place to come. Whatever level of dingy sailing you are at then there is a place for you here. From beginners - for which there are regular courses held by enthusiasts who know what they are doing, to hardened winter sailors who really enjoy competitive racing within a number of fleets. The members are friendly - always willing to give advice if asked.
The club house and lake are some of the best I have travelled to - the lake is a good size and like all inland waters has it's own challenges. The club house is modern and has plenty of space with a canteen during events/weekends - and HOT showers.
It also must be one of the best places for members to camp in the Cotswolds with a safe level pitch.
Give it a try - you won't be disappointed.

Beautiful, peaceful (unless the air tattoo is on
- but that’s to be expected) the walks around the lake are amazing.
Only one thing I could suggest to improve and is really really needed. Dog poo bins please 🙏🏻

We have been members at Bowmoor for about nine years, we joined for the fabulous family atmosphere, the fantastic lake with its great long beach and the racing which allows us to sail on our own and as a family. With the option for members to camp in the summer and the great facilities, I would argue that this is the best club in the Water Park.

A friendly and supportive club which caters for all levels of sailor. Excellent value for money. I learnt to sail and race a laser dinghy here. I also windsurf, kayak and use a paddleboard. One important bonus too - it's a great location for family camping/caravan and the highlight of my year is is always the Fairford airshow weekend. You can't beat camping and sailing all weekend with fighter jets performing their displays over the lake - awesome!

A good safe sailing lake with facilities for boat storage, dinghy sailing and RYA approved sailing and powerboat courses. Racing every Sunday throughout the year plus Wednesday evenings in the summer, although in addition the water is open for general sailing almost every day. Large clubhouse and safety boat storage building, plus large dinghy park. Lakeside camping is possible.
