Spending time with Highland Coo's was on my bucket list and I can now happily check that off thanks to Mary and Bowland Trails. You could tell how much she loves all her animals while also running a working farm with all that entails. I'm truly in awe of her knowledge and the way she knew the personalities of all the beautiful coos and bulls. She gave all of us lots of time to spend interacting with the cows, brushing them and giving them treats. It was pure joy and I highly recommend!

What an amazing experience we had with Mary hosting us to interact with the Highland Coos. Honestly it was our dream and a firm bucket list item. Not only we learnt a lot about the cows, had a fun buggy ride around the farm, we also got to brush the coo’s fur and hug them too. So many different personalities they have and they were just a delight. ❤️❤️ We will definitely be back again. Thank you for the lovely experience.

To see these majestic animals in such a stunning setting was just a dream . Mary taught us all so much displaying clearly how much she cares for the Highland cows .To be able to get this close feed brush and spend some time with them . I would urge anyone to book this experience it really was magical .

Wonderful experience! If you want to interact with the highland coos, this is the activity to book. Other “roadside attractions” allow you to pet or feed the cows through a fence (if the cows are in a social mood). This experience gets up close and personal with them. Plan your Scotland adventure to travel towards Blairgowrie and make this happens.

Wonderful experience. There was a reschedule when bad weather was forecast and Mary was fantastic with communication before, during and after our trip.
The directions to the farm were well done, and we were met at the approved spot as described.
Mary was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We met, groomed and hugged multiple wonderful cows and learned a lot about their lives, personalities and daily routines.
The weather worked with us and we didn't need our wellies, but it is definitely best to be prepared for weather changes.
Thank you for a great day and an experience neither my wife nor I will easily forget.

Such an amazing experience! We all enjoyed the personalized visit, learning about the coos and had a fun time meeting them. Mary greeted us all at the gate, gave a great overview on what to expect and then shared her love on what she gets to do on a daily basis (and you can tell she truly loves what she does) my grand daughter has decided she’s moving to Scotland, buying a farm and getting coos!
Thank you so much Mary!!

We had an amazing experience meeting and grooming the Highland cows. Mary was extremely informative about her cows and calves and encouraged us to get close to them. Meeting them in such a beautiful setting was perfect, the ladies (who all had names Cinderella, Meredith, Belle etc) were relaxed and beautifully cared for, they had plenty of space to roam through good terrain with ample tree shelter. The bond between Mary and her animals was evident and this was lovely. This experience is highly recommended and one I will definitely repeat.
