DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY OWE ME MONEY! I booked car hire through this company in May 2024 for my trip in October 2024. Less than 24 hours before I was meant to pick up my car, the hire company text messaged me advising they won’t be giving me any cars. I had to find another company and pay double on such short notice. I raised a query with Hire Car and they advised they’ll come back to me with a resolution within 21-28 days, which they haven’t done. They continue to respond with very generic emails, completely IGNORING my request to escalate my query and they continue to withhold the money I paid for the car I booked through them!! Jennifer in their customer service (I’m assuming as they don’t even sign their emails with their job title) is no help and completely dismissive in every single response. When I try to escalate my complaint by adding word like Urgent into the subject she’ll delete them in her response. The worst customer service I’ve ever received!!

A complete scam. Watch out people! Their local agent in Athens blocked my Visa for 1000€ for more than a month after the car was delivered. When you claim they say it is company's policy. I received an extra charge for "cleaning" costs. Car was dirty on the delivery, they said there were sorry but didn't have anything else available. Luckily I took photos. Run away!!

Unfortunately cannot give 0 stars. Like others have said (and I should have read before using them) they are a scam. I paid in full for a car. It was not available when I went to the rental company. The rental company would not refund me since I went through these scammers. The scammers have still not refunded me. I have escalated through my credit card company. DO NOT USE THESE SCAMMERS also known as holidaycars.com.

Booked through holiday cars to rent a car in reykavik with fair car. When I collected from fair car they did not recognise the insurance with holiday cars and made me a pay €2700 deposit on the car (retained for 1 month). They also charged me €8 more than the agreed price and would not give me the car for the original price.
The car was terrible. 270k on the clock, 12v sockets & front washer jets did not work and car pulled hard left when braked. Also 2 warning lights electronic fault and low tyre pressure on dash. Loads of damage to the car and missing trim. Avoid at all costs not a very good company.
Others who collected or dropped off where saying the same as me. Not very happy with this company.

I usually share positive experiences, but I need to warn everyone about Holiday Cars.
We were tempted by their low prices and booked a car. The process itself was sketchy from the start—they took our money instantly without any confirmation or receipt, just a bizarre email.
They claim to be a third-party provider for companies like Hertz. We showed up at Hertz, but guess what? No reservation on their end. Nothing.
Here's the kicker: when we tried to get our money back due to the nonexistent booking, they played dumb, saying they couldn't find our reservation. No kidding!
I provided all the details, and still, "Sorry, we can't find you in our system."
Stay away from third-party bookings, especially from Holiday Cars. They are not to be trusted!

I had an accident, and I thought that it would be easy to get the expenses covered, since I had taken out NoRisk Warranty Plus+. But it was incredibly difficult. They demanded the most detailed information about me and my bank that I have never been exposed to. And every time I sent something forward or had questions, I got an auto-reply that they had 14 days to respond. I had to call several times - on a number I happened to find on the Internet. I got the money almost 2 months after the accident, and there was 288.76 DDK = 38.72 Euro missing, and I can't get it. Never use HolidayCars!

Do NOT rent through this company!! They are not willing to help, at all.
There was a minor issue with the creditcard, we had other options to pay (cash, bankcard) but were not given any other option other than "you will have to pay for the whole period without getting the car then" which was totally frustrating.
Holidaycars left it there and we had to come to an understanding with the rental company itself, who actually was willing to help yet it did cost us an extra €400. We spent 4hours at the rental company waiting for Holidaycars to help. Total rubbish company.
Holidaycars acts as a middle person and will leave you on your own with extra costs as they are unwilling to go the extra mile or have any compassion.
Mind you; it was our fault for forgetting the creditcard code, yet we did have other options to pay!.
In short: book at the car rental itself and cut out the middleman.

Worst customer service experience ever
They charged you extra for 24-7 customer support and basically do nothing for you!
We got scammed by one of their suppliers in Turkey who did not release the car making us paying 200€ extra as PAYMENT instead of deposit ,plus buying 175€ extra insurance which we already had.
We called them and explained the case directly at the rental desk. They made a report for further assessment that supplier doesn't deliver the car.
But afterwards we got a email saying sorry, we can not pay the booking fee back ! Even knowing the fact we couldn't pick the car up.
That is so sick and dishonest.
They not only charged us for nothing, but the ruined our vacation by their dishonest supplier and wasted our time discussing this several times with their fake support.
They totally have no control or assessment on the suppliers they work with, plus they never pay you back in case of breach or fraud by their suppliers.
