We cannot recommend Bonamy enough. We were overwhelmed (and honestly a little skeptical) when it came to planning an African safari. We reached out to several travel companies and Bonamy was the right fit from the beginning. Toby and Vanessa helped us build the trip of our dreams. They asked us questions to help determine our travel style and sent us sample itineraries based on what we asked for—including a restricted budget and specific requirements about the trip. We ended up booking a trip to a location we weren’t even considering (Zimbabwe), and it turned out to be EXACTLY what we wanted. They answered all of our questions along the way and prepared us for our safari. When we had a few hiccups (flight delays that were completely out of their control), Vanessa checked in before we even had a chance to reach out to her. She helped us book a last-minute airport hotel and coordinated updated flights for us—truly a life saver in a stressful moment. Everything about our safari was far beyond our expectations and we can’t wait to work with Bonamy again.

I wanted to do a big African trip but had no idea how to make it happen. James, Vanessa and Toby listened to what I wanted and created a trip perfect for me! They not only planned everything, but were extremely responsive to any questions I had and followed up with me throughout in case I needed anything. Bonamy Travel are quite exceptional! What can I add and what more can I say … Bonamy Travel gave me a wonderful, wonderful ten days in Zambia staying at Bush camps in the Lower Zambezi and Kafue. Toby and James have an in depth knowledge of Africa and I thank them for sharing their passion with me. My travel arrangements worked brilliantly - all my transfers synchronised. What I liked about Bonamy Travel is that they treated me as an ‘individual’ and not as a ‘package’. James was a delight to work with during the planning stages and very quick to respond to any queries I might have. Nothing was too much trouble. James even arranged my flights to Livingstone where I spent a week with my daughter before joining their safari. All the camp guides and staff were excellent. I did a lot of walking which is my favourite way of seeing the Bush. I’ve been on many safaris in the past, and this one was probably one of, if not, my best! I never met Toby but hope to next time. James’s follow-up after my adventures was helpful and much appreciated.
