I took my 10 year old daughter on this boat trip and we had such an amazing time, I think it was the highlight of her holiday. The ride was so thrilling, especially all the tricks and twists and turns on the way back and it was great to see all the seals and birds around the lighthouse and our guide was great at answering our questions about it. As we departed we were discussing that it was definitely the best boat ride we had ever been on when one of the staff overheard us and asked us to put it in a review, so here it is. The best boat ride we have ever had!

An amazing experience! This is the second time I've been on this ride/tour, and each time has been incredible! Today we saw both seals and Dolphins and had an immense high octain thrill ride that won't be forgotten in a hurry! Definitely a MUST experience for fans of water sports/voyages and sea life tours!

Went out on Blue Thunder twice on our short stay at St Ives…Was utterly exhilarating and also really fun, fast (600bhp boat!) but also a your out a decent time on the water and we saw seals 🦭 on both our Trips too. Thanks guys, really great fun!!

We visit Cornwall every year from Suffolk and this is our 4th go on the ribs in 7 years. First time trying Blue Thunder and what an amazing experience it was! Roger was amazing from the moment he booked us on to the moment we dropped our jackets back! Super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer any questions even at this really busy period of the year!
We got extra lucky today we got to see some beautiful Seals over by Godrevy Light House and even got to see a helicopter land, pick people up and take off again. Combining that with the driver and the way he rode the waves it was our favourite rib trip to date! Highly recommended! Thanks for a lovely trip!

Fancy a gentle harbour cruise of St Ives? That’s for wimps. Book at one of two points on the seafront, show up at check in to collect life belt, board a 12 seat rib boat with two humungeous outboards on, tootle out of the harbour and wahey, warp speed. We headed first to an area where dolphins had been spotted, no joy, so we aimed at Seal Island and bounced from wave to wave out there at gawdknows how fast. Absolute fun. Then we toured around the island to see the basking seals and roared back towards the beaches, before slowing to dock back at St Ives. An exhilarating and exciting experience, not for the faint hearted as you do get bounced around a bit. Go for it.

We had booked online (which I recommend) for 13.00 a tour on the blue thunder rib. We got to St Ives handy as it was bank holiday weekend. Glad we did so we could get our heads round were we had to go as St Ives is seriously busy on the harbour and not really explained where about the stand is in the confirmation email.
But after a bit of walking round figuring things out we got to the stand at the time we needed to. There where to young ladsone seriously young but where great and helpful but a little chaotic as it was busy in the area and trying to figure out who where part of the trip and and those who was part of the beach looked hard work for the lads.
The trip itself was just absolutely brilliant. The lad driving was a nice lad explained everything really well but most importantly made you feel relaxed and safe, and my god knew how to drive the rib. It's was so quick and we got go a good distance. The whole family loved it and the fact we got to see a few seals was a perfect Finnish to such an amazing rib ride.
Hugely recommend it to anyone.

We booked in with Roger at the end of the shopping street (toward the pier). We went for a short walk and returned there at the booking time to get our life jackets then walk to the boat. We had a blast as the water was a little choppy, making for a thrilling bumpy ride out to the lighthouse. We saw seals at the lighthouse and also back in at the shore. Lots of good information about the lighthouse and then a full on ride back to the pier with lots of twists and turns. Recommended!!

9 of us went out Thursday morning. Had an awesome time. The boat captain Matt looked after us and was very patient & calm. We saw dolphins feeding and loads of seals. A really great trip and well worth it. Our kids loved it. We would strongly recommend. Thankyou
