Highly recommended. Fantastic boat with a great and skilled crew. Felt safe and in very good hands. The crew are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and the waters and wildlife around St Ives. Very accommodating to everyone on board, ample space on board to move around, not cramped. Decent size boat allows everyone to see the area clearly. Great communication on the day of our trip. We recommended speaking to the crew on board as they have a lot of knowledge and happy to answer questions. Make sure you book with these guys, they’ll look after you. Good value £25 for an exciting 1hr15min trip. A+++

Absolutely brilliant trip doing some Mackerel Fishing. As always Oliver and his brother looked after us and gave us some brilliant knowledge. We even had a life jacket for our fur baby who looked adorable. We actually caught lots of fish as did the others. We set off to come back to shore around evening time and the sun starting to set just looked beautiful. Oliver you have been absolutely fantastic also answering all the questions our children had in such a friendly manner. We look forward to seeing you and big boss again next year! Appalling experience yesterday 23rd Sept. 2024. Party of 7 including 2 young children and our adult son who is visually impaired. Guys selling tickets were helpful and fully aware that our son was blind as was the man fitting him with a life jacket. Waited around the harbour area for over an hour for our allotted slot on The Black Pearl. Only after our son had boarded the transfer boat did the Captain decide that it would be too dangerous for him to travel. This embarrassed my son in front of the rest of the passengers and left our grand-daughter in floods of tears. They didn't mind the other passengers travelling, one who was in a plaster cast and carrying dogs. Our son was in fact the only person in our party who had any experience of sailing and is the most adventurous member of our party. Avoid at all costs if you are not 100% perfect and don't want to be disappointed and embarrassed.

Our skipper, Dylan, was great ! Told us a lot about the seals. Got lots of wonderful photos and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Would highly recommend.
The skippers mate was also very helpful with our small human and pushchair on and off the boats.

Just had a great trip with black pearl. Expert knowledge from the skipper and approachable and friendly. However he did smoke both on the outward and inward journey. The smoke blew back into the vessel making for an unpleasant experience. Also is this safe? Should you be smoking while driving the vessel?

Went on the Godrevy Lighthouse tour over the late May bank holiday as a last minute addition. The gentleman selling tickets was nice and informative, making sure we knew exactly where to go to get life vests and time frames. The tour was really pleasant, lucked out with sunny weather on day. The man who captained the boat (didn’t catch his name) to the lighthouse was nice and gave some interesting history about the lighthouse. Good wee tour and the people running it were nice!

Loved seeing the seals up close, such a brilliant way to spend an hour out on the water and good value. Great tour and also really helped that we could bring our dog along (we were camping so wouldn't have been able to go otherwise). Thank you!

A delayed start (a staff meeting ran over?!) meant that about 8-10 of us had to wait in the rain for about half an hour and were drenched by the time the boat came… it was difficult to appreciate the boat ride after that as mum and I couldn’t warm up in our wet things… a lovely trip, however, saw seals, attentive skipper and definitely felt that we had our money’s worth. Would have liked to hear more about the area, seals, birds etc, not just an offer to have questions answered.
