This was pretty neat. You sign a waiver if something happens to you just by walking through the gate. It had unusual stained glass windows. We all went up into the upper parts of the building, but it didn't feel safe. You could see several patches in the floor where people had gone through and a couple of places that hadn't been patched yet.

Come see this place! Built by a free man for the free peoples. The story and history here is just amazing. It was so scary to walk up and down and around this place BUT I LOVED it! I hate heights. Like... Stepstools scare me. I went up every tower and even under the front gate area. Top to bottom, literally. The gift shop had some fun stuff. Goats were nice and not pushy. Goat treats can be purchased at the gift shop. There are trails across the road I wandered for a moment. Worth the time
I spent about 3 hours just in awe. A "jungle gym" for adults. Always, please be respectful. This is a man's life's work

I think this was a very interesting place to go to. It is amazing what one person was able to do. It is free, an enter at your own risk type of place. I'm glad we decided to go. There is also food for sale and a gift shop. The gift shop has some amazing souvenirs. Definitely check it out if you go to the castle.

This was by far the nestest castle we have ever been to. The 20-mile ride from where we were.. winding, beautiful view, deer to see, a sign to read before entering. They are still working on it. The father started it and the son is still working on it.

This was incredible! I have never seen anything like this. It is not somewhere I would take a child under 5 because it is very much still under construction but the vision this man has was incredible and I hope his work continues after his time. The staff were very friendly and there were lots of cool finds in the gift shop for very reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this! We made a weekend of it and I was pleasantly surprised.

This place appears to be a wild mix of genius and crazy. The signs are giant red flags, but it does look awesome. The stairs seem too narrow and too steep, but I found myself just going up effortlessly. Pure genius. Climbing into the metal structures while they shake was a test of self-preservation but it's so enticing. If you don't go here, you're missing out on an experience that is beyond explanation.

What a magical and mysterious place to visit! Wild animals such as chickens, dogs, goats and roosters roaming about freely. Worth watching the short 20 minute video about the history of Bishops Castle and how it came to be and how it started. Not great for very little children but fascinating for ages 8 and up. A must stop! Donate if you can since it’s a free tourist stop.

This place is both amazing and terrifying...
It's an active construction project, so you've got missing railings, holes in floors, unfinished projects, etc. As long as you're observant, you'll have a great time.

The castle is hand built over many years, which is amazing. There's twists, turns, nooks, crannies, overlooks, and climbs. The great room is gorgeous with beautiful stains glass windows. I definitely recommend climbing the towers... great views from the top. The animals on site are a fun touch.

Consider buying something from the gift shop or donating cash to help the project continue.
