đ Reviews of Billing Aquadrome Holiday Park

Firstly I'd like to point out we arrived without looking at any of the reviews for this site, it was only during our stay that we had seen them.
There is loads of activities for young children to do, which does have to be booked in advance however there seemed to be a little something for everyone and every age range. The train wasn't running due to what stated as a engine fault which is slightly disappointing but not the end of the world. The swimming pool and entertainment venue seemed very popular on our stay however the arcade was smaller than anticipated but again isn't really an issue as they had a game for everyone. The fun fair was slightly run down however due to there being renovations on the park and that being well known I guess that will be an area they are improving. We never ate on the park however it did seem like was a few different choices but obviously I can't comment on the quality. There was a lot of negative reviews about Travellers on site, which I will say there was and we were situated near a group on our touring pitch however we had no issues at all with them. The only really negative parts of our stay here was the uncleanliness of the toilet and shower block, things such as no hand soap in the whole duration of our stay, just rubbish all over the block which remained there again for our stay (so it was clear these aren't being maintained as they should be) thankfully we had our own shower and toilet facilities in our van but for people that haven't I believe this needs to be addressed and even more so when this should be the busiest time of year for the park, it is truly a infection control nightmare. There was also some very questionable inappropriate behaviour happening in the male block on one occasion when my partner went to the shower at 9am!! which is ridiculous for a "family friendly" park, but there was a significant lack of security around the park which again should really be addressed to stop these issues from arising. Most of the staff we met on site were well mannered and friendly however there was a few young members of staff that could do with maybe more training especially behind the bar or on customer service (however we all have our bad days).
All in all we would return back to use the park due to giving the company the benefit of the doubt that they are still very much trying to improve their facilities whilst accommodating a large number of guests at the same time, hopefully by next year all the negative reviews from many people will be a push in the right direction to make this place one of the best.

I was a bit worried about coming to stay here after reading some of the reviews. I shouldn't of worried. Is the place perfect... No. But I feel that some of the negative reviews are a bit over the top.
We arrived at our caravan and received our key around 4.15. Caravan at a glance was clean. I liked that the pet friendly vans only have carpet in the bedrooms. Lovely welcome packs for us and the dog. Upon taking our shoes off the floor was quite sticky and later we noticed our socks were black. There was a mop and bucket available so I just did the floor myself. Our TV was also broken but someone came out and brought a new one quickly.
Lots of things for kids to do to keep them busy. Arcade wasn't a hit as it's very small and half the games don't work.
We didn't eat at the Boatyard Kitchen so can't comment on the food. We did eat at The Quays on a few occasions, excellent food and good prices. Lots of places to eat within driving distance.
Swimming pool is good although the changing rooms at times were not clean.
Shout-out to Simon the lifeguard (not you again lol) who always welcomed us with a smile and chatted with the children ,whilst the other guards looked liked they'd rather be anywhere else on the planet.
We didn't go to the entertainment of an evening so can't comment on that.
Yes, there is lots of geese droppings but it's to be expected given where you are.
Yes, there is lots of unruly children about, but that is not the parks issue.
We had a nice stay. We would come back but possibly for a long weekend rather than a week's holiday.

We arrived 25.08.25, The Caravans were clean and tidy and very comfortable. Some equipment was missing but got through with what we had, on arrival we got a welcome pack with a game for the kids which was good, we stayed for 4 nights when going to do activities we wasn't aware that we had to book everything in advance but we only read a couple reviews and none of them mentioned this, this became a problem as only manged to do one activity--lesson learned do more research. the park is huge. We also booked swimming and had an email stating we booked it when we arrived they couldn't find our booking so wouldn't let us in. The pedal carts we found and questioned to use but was told no even though there was 3 or 4 sitting there. The Splash park was really good and the kids favourite thing to do, Food on site was quite expensive but there is a quays pub round the corner which we entertained one night and Chinese round the corner was lovely, During the summer showers we entered the arcades found 2 on the park the one by the fairground which we found was much better than the main one but this is our preference nothing wrong with it. The Drinks at the bar was very reasonable. The stage entertainment was good something going on most of the days whilst adults could relax. Overall if you have good company you make the holiday yourself would come back again. đ

Stayed here for the weekend with my friend and our children. They had the best time so much to do and keep them busy! Very friendly and helpful staff. We had an issue in the soft play with older kids running around in there but it was quickly dealt with by staff. We went on the cyclone which my daughter loved . Special thanks to Fran who was on the touring fields â she was so polite, welcoming, and more than happy to help with any questions or directions. Really made the experience even better! đ

Weâve just returned from a weekend stay in one of the new glamping pods with a hot tub, and overall, we had a really lovely time!|We arrived just after 4 PM and check-in was smooth and easy. The pod itself was spotless and well-equippedâeven with separate indoor and outdoor glasses, which is a great touch for a hot tub stay.|We made the most of the site by exploring the park, splash pad, arcades, and even had a go at fire lighting. We had Papa Johnâs for tea and found drinks at the bar to be very reasonably priced.|We were really looking forward to using the hot tub that evening, but unfortunately, it wasnât quite ready when we arrived. As my 10-year-old called them, "the hot tub boys" were checking it over and testing the levels. Although they came back later to retest, the chemical levels still werenât quite right, so we werenât able to use it that night. While we were a bit disappointed, we completely understood the importance of safety.|Lee, who we saw several times throughout the weekend, was particularly kind. He noticed our disappointment and offered us complimentary breakfast the next morning, which was a really thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated.|The next day, we went swimming first thing, followed by breakfast, which was lovely. Later, we enjoyed the aqua park and spent some time at the Adventure Island free activity area, which kept our daughter entertained for about an hour. Itâs such a lovely addition to the site, though itâs a shame that some guests donât respect the areaâleaving rubbish behind and even throwing Connect 4 tokens into the lake.|Thankfully, we did get to enjoy the hot tub that evening while watching the sunset over the lake, which was a really special moment.|All the staff were friendly and helpful, with a special shoutout to Lee, who always took the time to check in on us and ask what weâd been up to. His friendly and genuine approach really made a difference to our stay.

Our caravan was excellent. It was only a year or two old, and it was very clean. Unfortunately, the area around it was littered, which was disappointing. One of the days the pool was closed and we were not notified in advance. This was frustrating, as we had prebooked and the park had our email address. A short message would have been enough, and it would have spared us from having to break the bad news to our toddlers.
Overall, Billing Aquadrome is a nice park, but the smell from the nearby sewage works is dreadful. It is not constant, but when it drifts across it is unbearable and impossible to ignore. Because of this, we will not be returning. For anyone looking for a relaxing break without the stench of sewage, I would not recommend Billing Aquadrome.

We visited off peak 5-8th September for a 3 night stay. I took my 27 year old daughter who is partially sighted & Autistic, elderly friend & 3 dogs. We stayed in The Retreat Glamping Pod with hot tub.||The park was beautiful with lovely scenery. Accommodation, facilities & activities were great. The view of the lakes were amazing. We really enjoyed our holiday!||There were mostly good points but I will list as follows.||GOOD POINTS|1. Staff were very welcoming, friendly & helpful.|2. The park was overall clean & well kept. Good facilities & activities.|3. Accommodation - our Retreat had stunning views overlooking the lake to the marina. It was of high standard with a spacious lounge with tv, sofa (pulled out to small double bed), |4. Kitchen area with all necessary electric gadgets, utensils, cutlery, crockery, saucepans, & fridge. Storage space in tall cupboards & lift up seating at table. |5. Bathroom - small but excellent shower - all towels & 2 robes included.|6. Double bedroom with comfortable double bed, single wardrobes with 2 drawers. All bedding & pillows were included.|7. Mezzanine style bedroom up ladder - very small but ideal for 2 kids or able bodied medium height adults. All bedding & pillows were included.|8. Decking area - hot tub, outdoor table with electric BBQ - fully enclosed fence with gate. Safe for dogs & kids.|9. Varied range of eateries, drinks.|10. On site convenience store & bakery.|11. Plenty of choice of activities.|12. Nice heated swimming pool with yellow curly flume slide.|13.Dog friendly with own free run dog activity park.|14. Entertainment on site.|15. Charlie, Gareth & Tyler were great on the hot tubs - hardworking & efficient! 5 stars!|16. Female entertainers Liv, BrontĂ©, & the lovely blonde one whoâs name escapes me were friendly, inspiring & good role models to my daughter. 5 stars girls!||My golden retriever loved the lake. We had just arrived at our pod & were unloading the car. She escaped & darted into the lake sending geese & swans flying. After numerous shouts & rattles of dog treats I finally retrieved my retriever who came out green & slimey but wagging her tail. She gives 5 stars to Meadow Bay villages & Billing Aquadrome đ€Ł||BAD POINTS|1. Hot tub was cold on 2nd night so we couldnât use it! Had to call the team next day to ensure it was fixed for 3rd night. Charlie was a hero & did get it done very efficiently even though he was under pressure to do many more in a limited timeframe!-||2. Food & drink prices are too high! If you lowered the price more customers would eat & drink out, rather than stay in their accommodation.||3. Dog play area was full of takeaway drinks & dog poo! Watch your step!||4. Activity prices too high.||5. Main Street light on corner near The Venue was never on. This was a safety concern for all coming & going after dark & people had to put their phone torch on to see.||Overall opinion - very positive feedback & would love to holiday there again when the bad points are sorted.|đ€

We had the best stay at Billing Aquadrome/Meadow bay villages. So much to do and see and our hot tub lodge was amazing. We did lots of activities at the Amphitheatre & Adventure Island. From science experiments and colour throwing to riding dino bikes, making slime, pottery painting, panning for gold and so much more. However our firm favourite was stuffing an alpaca Teddy whilst in the actual enclosure with them. Such a fantastic experience and Shannon the person that led the activity was fantastic. So lovely & enthusiastic and fantastic with the children. Sheâs an absolute credit to the place as my daughter did slime making, t-shirt painting and pottery painting and but we were only allowed to book her on to the activity if Shannon was running it or taking part!
