We have been booking with best of Suffolk for about 9 years, in the last 2 years we have found the customer services very poor. We have had to deal with Sykes, and they are definitely not a friendly helpful customer faced company. You talk through messages and they are pushy and unhelpful. I don’t know if best of Suffolk has been purchased by Sykes and are still trying to claim to be a small independent company based in Suffolk, but we won’t be booking with them anymore, a real shame because they have some beautiful properties but there are many other local underpants I’d rather deal with.

Disappointing service from Best of Suffolk. It was our first holiday we booked with them and tried to contact them for check-in assistance when we arrived at the holiday cottage. No-one picked up, so we left a message to request assistance, but no-one called us back! They didn't even bother to phone the next day to check everything was ok! Very disappointing and sadly would not use them again.

Terrible company. No matter how big the issue, they don’t care about customer service. I am now homeless halfway through my stay and no alternative accommodation offered due to a poorly managed property and letting agent..

Booked Home Reach for a special family celebration and we weren’t disappointed. We arrived at the tail end of Storm Eunice to a power cut. Jules the housekeeper was amazing sending updates and ultimately providing temporary lighting enabling us to unpack and relax.
We couldn’t have chosen a better property. So spacious and so very comfortable. Perfect for adults and children. The views were great and some amazing sunsets. As usual Best of Suffolk did not let us down.

Not as advertised, they said there is "some" road noise. In fact, there is quite heavy traffic all night!! No privacy, mattress too small for the bed, the shower is very slippy when wet and could cause a serious accident ( this had been commented on before but obviously the owner decided not to act!!) In warm weather, the place heats up like an oven, making it uncomfortable. So there is no way to cool the place apart from opening windows, and then you end up being bitten by insects. The tv is too small for the room. I had to wash and clean the pans and kitchen utensils before use. There was food left in the sink.

Awful company. Raised many issues during our stay - both by phone and by email - and no one ever got back to us with any sort of update. Matters remain unresolved even now that the holiday is over, and the only contact we had from them about the issues raised was an email allocating a case number. Staff are very abrasive over the phone and do not come across as caring about the problems. We did have problems (largely about the lack of cleanliness) the last time we booked a cottage with Best of Suffolk, so we certainly will not be giving them a third chance.

Very disappointing, inefficient service and communication. The deposit return time is unacceptable. On leaving the property in perfect condition it was confirmed there were no damages on the day. However the deposit refund was not initiated until some days later. Nearly two weeks after that date, we still haven’t received our hefty deposit back! In this day and age of technology and instant bank transfers, I was surprised to read the company said they had no control over the timings and continue to blame the card processors. Two weeks… really? Never have I experienced this refund turnaround time with any company. Requests to speak to senior management have gone ignored. Suffice to say Best of Suffolk have lost a potential loyal customer. Interestingly the owner feels the same - the margin Best of Suffolk charge is unacceptable and he is moving the property to another rental company. We’ll continue to visit beautiful Suffolk regularly but not through this rental company who do not seem to put customers first nor run their operations efficiently.

We have been booking Best of Suffolk for several years and booked lots of stays with them. At every point their service has been first class. We can not recommend them enough! The accommodation is exactly as it is described which is first class and always wonderfully clean. What I love are the extra special touches they add, like great wine or yummy cake. What more can you ask?!
