Absolutely disgusting service have made a booking directly with them on their website for a stay 2 months away, booking stated free cancellation as per their website until 3days before. I have cancelled more than 6 weeks before expected stay date and still having issues getting my money back from them. Have had a change of plans so have cancelled booking still awaiting refund from them to be told that I will not got full refund as they have to pay a charge to their card machine provider (which by the way is illegal to pass this onto a customer since 2018). Phoned up numerous times to be told call back later in 3hours time then to text other numbers to request refund and cancellation. Service is absolutely shocking. I am still awaiting a response from a manager!

The hotel had come under new ownership shortly before we visited. The owner and staff are Nepalese. Without exception they were friendly and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and tidy although in need of a makeover which I'm sure will happen in time.|We didn't have dinner in the restaurant as we arrived later in the evening although a fellow guest told us it was first class.|We had breakfast the following morning, which isn't included in the room price, and were given one of the biggest and tastiest full English breakfasts that I've ever experienced, with unlimited tea/coffee, for £9.50.|We were going to a funeral nearby which started at 11.45 and the staff were very laid back about us checking out which was very helpful.|All in all, good value for money and I feel confident that the hotel will only improve over time under the new management.

Had a birthday meal in the Ageno restaurant (Indian/ Nepalese) as a party of five.
The food was lovely and I really enjoyed it.
Just a word of caution, a couple of the party felt the food was quite hot and spicy, even the Biryani which is usually mild. Fine if you like it hot, but bear in mind if you don't, so ask for it to be toned down if needed . I found it fine though!

Pictures say a lot about our room. |Big bed and if you like soft mattresses you’re in luck. |Window left no handle so we could not close it. Day and night very loud because room faces main road with lots of cars 24/7|The shower starts dripping out if the blue |No loo roll holder, no hair dryer, no tissues and no extra loo roll. Just soap in the container in the shower. |When I saw the toilet I felt sick to my stomach. Unbelievable!!!|If you like a cup of tea, bring your own tea bags. Hotels own bags are not wrapped. Just laying there for good how long. Tastes horrible. |Good things: close to town, Asda and Tesco|Lots of nice places to eat.

Now run by a Nepali team, the staff are hugely pleasant and hard working. Our meal was delicious and our stay upstairs in the hotel was comfortable. Long Eaton is an interesting place, hopefully I'll be back soon. Free parking to the rear.

Do NOT book the family room on the second floor!
One window without handle. Can’t close it. Cold room at night and loud day and night because room faces the main road. Cars, motorcycles and lorries non stop.
Bring your own tea bags. Hotels own are not fresh and not wrapped. Taste disgusting.
Pictures of bathroom speak for themselves.
No hair dryer, no tissues nor extra loo roll. Not even loo roll holder.
The shower has a mind of its own. Starts dripping in the middle of the night. A few times.
Bed is big and if you like soft mattresses you are in luck.
No housekeeping at all but I saw the cleaner in other rooms.

I loved the food, its filling and cooked with immense love and the service was delivered with the same love and care. They are enthusiastic to ensure you have as perfect a stay as possible.

My experience at Barnet’s was not a good one.

Had one pint in the bar before going to our room not a very good pint asked the barman if they had Stella and he answered yes we get to the bar and no Stella.

The room was huge with the bed on one side and the tv on the other side about 15ft away.

Beds were very uncomfortable due to them being two single beds put together, so their is a gap between the two beds.

Best part of the room and the only reason this isn’t a 1 star review is that the shower in the room was amazing, the hot water was perfect. Waterfall type shower amazing.

Located just a short walk from the town so that is also really good we found a lively pub called the tappers harker about 10 minutes away very good pint and great food at the tappers harker.

The hotel closes at 11:00pm so make sure you are back as they say to call this number on the door we rang about 8 times with no answer.

I would not stay here again
